  1. I finally got around to welding up my homemade jack adaptor. I threw some pics in. It is made of 1 inch square tubing. I had to inclube the bike too! Its not a big deal, but i am proud of it. It cost me about 20 dollars at lowes, and about 2 hrs in labor.
  2. New auction posted today............1 of each item........... Thanks to all, you guys make me proud to be a Venturerider..... St. Jude Auctions
  3. First, I think everyone should read Dragonriders post in the inspirational section, titled "sack Lunches". Second, We had 10 members of an Army unit earn 10 Silver Stars in Afgan combat (a military record). The story is here: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,466404,00.html Knowing we have men the likes of these out there getting the job done.....I'm so proud of these young men..
  4. Well, I'm done (knock on wood). I bought a 1983 VR a month ago, low Km's ran great. It had a few issues I thought should be no problem. Silly me, lol. I should tell you I have never owned a bike that had more than Spark, Gas and Go before so this was an ad(venture) in working with a whole lot in a little space. My yoga teacher would be proud, lol. Speaking of proud, it is the members of VR that should be proud. As I said I was lost at a few stages of overhualing this wonderful bike. I had such a great responce to my questions and extra info on this bike I never knew I needed to know Me and Mrs Knees have been out on it every night this week just piling the km's on it to make sure everything is trip worthy. My god what a ride, time and km's seem to just drift by. I appreciate all the help with getting everything up and running and the only thing I had to buy was the stater. When I get some pictures I'll post them, show you what you helped put together. Knees In The Breeze
  5. This guy is really proud of his Dodge Intrepid. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___MODIFIED-PIMPED-TRICKED-OUT-CAR-2002-DODGE-INTREPID_W0QQitemZ230279331005QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item230279331005&_trkparms=39%3A1|65%3A10|240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245
  6. These are a few pic's I took at our daughters graduation last saturday. The first is her and daddy(muffinman), the second is the proof(her degree), the third is her and as we found out that day her fiance. They plan on getting married in Oct. of 09. We're very proud of her she graduated cum laude, though I know she would have liked it to be better then that. She's a bit of a perfectionist and always liked getting A's in school. Margaret
  7. Well, He finally arrived. :cool10:We are the proud parents of a 3.6 lb, male, Bichon Frise! :rotf:Cutest little thing you ever saw. We have two other "children" too. Female Lab/Golden Retriever and a Brittany Spaniel. All seem to be be getting along fine. The new addition is for our REAL son, Jared. He was too young to be involved when we got the other two, so he has never been that close to them. He wanted a small dog of his own to sleep with him and really be his. I think this little guy is just the ticket. He loves to be held and cuddled. He only woke up once from sleeping in the bed I made him beside Jared's. Its getting to be a fully house around here
  8. Yep, he has gone back to the "light" side. I know, because I seen him on it today. In fact, I have ridden it also. And, I promised not to tell because he is so proud of doing this and he wants to share this life changing event. He he he.... RandyA
  9. I don't wan't to short any of my children. They all make me a proud father. But two of the have put it all on the line, so to speak. Most of you know about Jake and his joining the Marines. (By the way, he left florida tonight headed out to New River S.C to continue his training in his MOS) My Oldest boy has joined the Mississippi Army National Guard (full time) and will be going to boot camp at Fort Jackson S.C. 2/12/08
  10. If you haven't read Lewis's post about the ride to St. Jude, please do so. This will be a great experience for anybody who can make it. As some of you know, or Tail of the Dragon rally that has been organized Lewis for the past 3 years has always served the dual purpose of not only allowing all of us to enjoy getting together, riding and eating but even more importantly, to raise money for St. Jude's. The amount of money has grown each year and I am very proud to be a part of any group that is a part of such an event. It would be great if as many of you as possible could join Lewis at St. Judes to present them the money that was raised. Not only would we be very proud to have any of you there to represent us but you will probably get MUCH more out of it than you can possibly imagine. It truly is an opportunity that you will feel good about afterwards. Please see this thread for all the details. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14760
