Been working on this 2001 RSV. The bike was dumped and had damage to the lower cowling that holds the fuses. The Main Control Unit was also damaged. The Audio doesn't work. I replaced the MCU (used, they said it worked), put dielectric on all connections. Did a DC volt test and I am getting power up to the audio fuse in the lower cowling. There is no power in the 18 pin connector that attaches to the radio. Are there any other fuses I should be looking for? Any suggestions?

i had a race car driver tell me, that the higher the octane in fuel, the more compression it takes to vaporize. and vise versa, the lower the octane level,the sooner it will vaporize and ignite. in a nutshell, what he said is "lower octane fuel fires before it is supposed to,giving you less than optimum power.". anyone have any knowlege about this subject? oh . this guy also said that avgas,works better in "older" motorcycles, than super unleaded fuel, because it is a higher octane,(110 to 120 octane) just jt

I am a new guy, just bought a nice 99 Venture and was reading on this site about the lower plastic vents breaking. Well today mine broke off at the metal bracket! For no apparent reason. Hope to get it welded back together.
