  1. we are going to have a drawing for door prizes after dinner at the rally banquet. anyone who wants to donate a prize bring something with you. it doesn't have to be new or bike related. we like to include things for the gals. its a good time to pass something you don't need on to some one else. we will issue drawing tickets at check in. it's free and lots of fun. see you there. bill
  2. annie has joined my commitee as head promoter and ambassador for the national meet. a good many of you know annie. for those of you that don't, you will get to meet her somewhere this summer in the usa. she will be at the international in july. when annie talks people listen.lol. welcome aboard annie. snarley bill
  3. i have just negotiated a special 14% discount and blocked off all ten primitive sites at lakeside park for venture riders. 4 are aready taken so there are 6 left. be sure to tell them your a venturerider. those that already have a site just remind them when you pay. there are still lots of rv sites. no deal on those yet. i will work on a special rate for those, if we have folks wanting full hookups. snarley bill
  4. looks like annie is going to set the record again for longest trip to a venturerider meet. that is dedication.
  5. okay folks, the rally in july is coming up fast. please try to get your registration in with b-2 mom as soon as possible. also freebird my cohost is selling the raffle tickets for the grand prize trailer. if you want a chance to win a really nice trailer be sure to get with don and get some tickets. all the info you need is listed under rides and rallies. the commitee is putting alot of work into this, and we need your help to make this the biggest rally yet. the t-shirts are awesome be sure to order them when you register so we can have them for you at check in. thanks, snarley bill
  6. almost done with my winter project. i took my highly modified ruckus for a test ride yesterday, and it runs great. it will haul my fat butt 44 mph. i have a little more jetting and tuning to do when it warms up a little more. i'm looking for about 47 mph gps confirmed. not bad for a 3 cubic inch, 49cc motor, and 100 mpg. this is what you do when your a retired old fart. the last big modification i'm working on may put it over 50 mph. a diet. i need to lose 50 lbs.. got to get ready for bonneville.
  7. just a reminder. please put your name on the calender if you plan on attending the rally. even if you have registered sign in on the calender. it helps me keep track of how many folks to expect. i have to make sure we have plenty of space for everyone, motels etc.. thanks, snarleybill
  8. okay folks. i added another block at comfort suites today for 15 more rooms. this is probably all i can get. it puts us around half the rooms in the motel at the special rate. i also added another block at super 8. that gives us about half that motel. redroof inn has no special rate cuz the rooms are aready very reasonable and it is a nice motel right on i-70 close to town. moral of the story is get your reservation in as soon as possible for these three motels. we don't want anyone sleeping under the mo. river bridge. lol. when these motels fillup i will look for some more, but these are in a convenient local. don't forget to sign in on the calender and register, and order your t-shirts from b2 mom. if you are coming to the meet please help us out by registering early so we can keep count. we have to notify the caterer and t-shirt vender. the grand prize drawing tickets will be coming soon. freebird has aready bought a new motorcycle trailer to give some lucky winner. the check inn will be july 20th at the lobby of comfort suites from noon to 4pm. late comers can catch up with b2 mom at comfort suits where her and b2 dad will be staying. there will be lots of info handed out there by us and the st. charles chamber of commerce about rides and places of interest to see. this is where the t-shirts will be handed out. ciick on rides and rallies for the registration form.
  9. okay folks. we finally got it all together for the international meet. i put together a small committee this time and we all worked hard to get it right. freebird, patti and eusa1 have done a great job, on their end, and i think i got everything set up here in st. charles, mo.. to register go to rides and rallies, and click on international rally. also make sure you get on the calender if you haven't already done so. st. charles is a tremendous tourist area so you will not be disappointed with the many things to see. you may even want to arrive early and stay later to pack more sight seeing and riding in. we are looking forward to seeing you all. snarley bill
  10. don, listen to those doctors. that ain't nothing to mess with. take it easy, and don't over do it till they run them tests. sounds like they aren't real concerned or they would have kept you. i had a heart attack in my early 40's and they kept me in intensive care for a week. i'm 72 and still here and still snarley. i said a little prayer for you buddy. bill
  11. we are getting close on registration. eusa1 can show the shirts when he decides to. his daughter did the design, and it really looks great. it really sets forth the theme of the rally.
  12. just so you primitive campers know. the showers and restrooms are about 300 yards from your camp area. the lake is within 200 feet. there is aa 4 1/2 mile paved walking and biking path around the lake, and they have bike and paddle boat rental.
  13. we now have a really great design for the rally t-shirts thanks to eusa1's daughter. she did a great artistic job. it really puts forth the theme of the rally. we are busting our butts to get the registration ready, so folks can start early ordering their t-shirts and officially sign up for the meet. although i hosted the 2009 meet in ar.. this one is going to dewarf that one. ive got a great commitee with loads of experience, thankgoodness. please get on the calender as soon as you decide that your coming. also, get your motel or camping reservations in as soon as possible. i want everyone to have a place to stay. this is a tourist town, and tourist season is right around the corner. rooms could get scarce. the three host motels, and campgrounds are listed under rides and rallies. looking forward to meeting new folks and old friends. hope to see you there. snarely bill
  14. try again i cleaned some out. bill
  15. well i just turned 72, and it was getting to be time. got an unbelievable severence. a good friend of mine owns the business. the honey dos have started already.
  16. well i got retired from my job this morning. what a shock. they cut the night shift and i am officially home permenantly to harass my wife. this is my second retirement, so i guess it will be my last. time to tighten the belt and enjoy these so called golden years. lots more time to work on the 2015 rally.
  17. okay folks we took the holidays off on the planning committee. it's back to work now. we are now working on the registration form and t-shirt design. when we get all the costs together, we will post the form on line. hopfully we can set it up so you can register via paypal. time is flying by and july will be here before you know it. it's important that you get your motel reservations, and put your name on the calender as soon as you know your coming. you can also rsvp on the calender. i have reserved the huge new pavilion at lakeside park for the whole day of july 23 to hang around, and the last meal will be catered there by bandanas barbeque in the late afternoon. this is going to be one heck of a chindig. we are also working on the grand prize. if you all have any ideas or input on how to make this meet the biggest and best yet, throw it on me. bill
