  1. Sorry Mike, would love to go. Just not in the cards for this year. However, perhaps you and I can make plans for a weekend Florida run sometime... Barry
  2. Bars not sold... Saw Steve K. At Leesburg today. Told me you da one to see bout the diamond cuts.
  3. Excellent story as well as an excellent display of caring Squidley . You did a GREAT thing. Shame on that piece of garbage for tossing those pups to fend for themselves. You and your wife should be proud. We are... Barry
  4. Payment sent via PayPal to Russell....thanks Aussie Annie...
  5. I am unsure if its the same myrtle beach bike fest, but I read somewhere that it gets pretty hectic with divisions of people and the environment. Maybe someone can verify...
  6. Sadly I won't be attending the rally. Let me do some homework and get back w you regarding the bars.
  7. Please hold the mirrors for me. I will pay is Paypal after work tonight. I am unsure if the Flanders bars would fit my 03 RSV. Previous post had me griping over shoulder pain. Playboy sent risers so unsure about bars. Please lmk how those bars are better/ different than stock. I may get those as well... Barry
  8. I would love to be on the left side, however the wife at this time has us locked down here for the time being....ugh....
  9. +1 on the A1A route and Ocala National forest. If you would look at the map, that A1A ride is amazing. Quiet, peaceful, just all out gorgeous. Ocala has some pockets of campers, but has long stretches of smooth riding. If you hit Ocala through US 40, be sure to swing by Al and Jan's for some breakfast or lunch. Amazing hospitality , LOTS of good food and biker friendly. Keep me posted, as I am about 45 minutes from Tampa, perhaps if time allows we can meet up. Ride safe ! Barry
  10. In 2010 I had to replace the battery on the Vulcan. It was the original battery when shipped to the states from Japan. The dealer was like WTF? I said battery tender...
  11. If nothing gets in between to stop me, I will also be there...
  12. Mike, I have Michelin commanders on F&R on my Vulcan. Unbelievable. Really . They handle grass, sand, and especially torrential rains like a champion. I would never hesitate to buy them again. Barry
  13. Steve, sounds like a plan, I will be looking for ya. Midnight V-4... Myself personally, I will roll in there about 10 am. Unsure when Steve will arrive and what's going to be going on. Feel free to call me when you're there and where we can work on a meeting place.
  14. Next weekend is the popular Leesburg fest. I have been there a bunch of times and am not promoting it per se. Some nice stuff and a nice ride in general. However, this will be the first time I take my Raspberry RSV. I have been trying to line up a time and spot for Steve and I to meet up. I was wondering if any other members from Florida would like to perhaps make a time and place to at least say hello and look at each others bikes. Angry Amish and the rest...interested? Nothing super organized or structured but a chance for a meet and greet or even an eat and greet. Anyone?...
  15. Some one told you a tall tale Amish ...raspberry/tan is the fastest color. Just wanted to clear up any misunderstandings....
  16. SilvrT... That's a great tutorial and thank you so much for taking the time to put those pics online for me, and others. I am definitely keeping the venture. I will keep you posted when the project is under way... Thanks again to EVERYONE for contributing your opinions and expertise. You all are awesome
  17. I heard it was the best color and year, AFTER the 03 raspberry/sand color combo. I am not saying....just saying...
  18. Brian, Rick, Wes, Reddevilmedic... All great suggestions. I do not use cruise when I am riding local and I make my own routes, which I need to be able to quickly stop if need be. Good point on second set of hands and will enlist some help. Seafoam... Hmmm.... You just may be on to something here.
  19. Mine is located on L saddlebag. Initially was going to ask( bug) Steve to switch positions, but I use the trunk more. Also, I keep it snugged down, and pretty much add my cycle pump, knives, some tools, fuses, cargo net and my FROGG TOGGS . So that pretty much takes that saddle bag out of commission. I don't mind. I use a full face helmet so I want that trunk space if need be.
  20. Me and my bride...take 3
  21. Dan...I am sorry to hear about this. Prayers sent to you and your entire family.
  22. Playboy, you are too keen. Should have been a detective. I just didn't want to keep a bike I wasn't in love with due to issues with riding. Hence, this is why I reached out to all y'all. You guys and gals have WAY more riding experience than I do with bikes, let alone ventures. Glad I can have my $12 therapy session here. Cheapest around...
  23. Midnight, this sounds fun and unique. I have plans to do this mud run w the wife this weekend. Can you keep me posted for future runs? I am interested w enough notice to plan it out. Thanks, have fun and keep us all posted on how it went.
  24. Ouch...feel for ya. Dont ya just get steamed when a decent day and a plan goes sideways?
  25. Thank you for your reply. I am going to be exploring other avenues to remedy the situation. Parting w my 2 bikes for the voyager is not an option any longer.
