I have never put more than 3 quarts with filter in mine, as my prev ventures would spit too much oil into the air box plenum . it will read at 1/2 window with this amount of oil and bike upright and level the mfg recommends the first oil change at 600 because of debris from break in and manufacturing process

There is the question of the larger carbs and single air filter intake boots? the motor mounts aka dog bones the crash bars would have to be changed its not as simple as just pulling items off and having it look cleaner. everything has a cost factor that stops most from doing this type of modification

The royal stars without the lower leg fairings like the model in this picture "stock photo" all had a single air filter design under the fuel tank. also did not have cruise control. all of the cruise control items are located in lower leg fairings on the rsv and rstd.
