  1. weird, both the front and rear had a white dot on my commander ll's
  2. usually the dot gets washed off when they clean the tire after mounting. it's just a temp mark on a new tire for mounting. Just had new tires mounted and I saw the dots and they were gone when he wiped the tire off after he was done.
  3. kinda smells like the person who mounted it didn't know or forgot about the dot and valve stem. you did also check the air in the front shocks?
  4. It always seems to go easier when your not in a hurry.
  5. may be time for a car tire if the road is that hard on tires.
  6. glad to hear you have a great dealer and they took care of you. many good dealers around just to many poor ones.
  7. Can take off the helmet lock and have a locksmith make one from that.
  8. Good thing you were still home to fight it off. hate to come home from a trip and find a flooded house.
  9. In the next few weeks they will be calling to offer you lower rates. Sometimes you can check with a different rep and get cheaper rates.
  10. I put 3 pounds in the front about 22 in the back. don't really load up the rear with much so it works for me. I do have a 07 RSTD.
  11. I don't think they do. what I saw was just the angle of the bars when they tighten the bars down. same bikes just when the person had the bars in a different angel when they tighten them down. maybe they just didn't pay attention when installing them.
  12. I never use 5th until 70+ unless I shift into it by accident, then I shift right back down.
  13. put 140 miles on Sunday and have no complaints. cracks, tar in grooves, rain grooves not a problem, loving these new tires. even had it up to 87 mph in 15 mile cross winds and held the course without getting blown all over. smaller tire in front no problems and made turning in parking lots better.
  14. got out Sunday for a 140 mile ride. Handled great no problems changing lanes with cracks, handled the rain grooves without a wobble. had it up to 87mpg with out a shimmer. easy to turn at slow speeds in parking lots and feels great on the road. did not go down any dirt roads so that will have to wait until I do.
  15. I was asking because I was looking at new bikes at a dealers and the same bikes had the handle bars adjusted in different positions, maybe just the person setting up the bikes thought close enough was good or their was a reason.
  16. just thinking where do you like your handle bars adjusted for the most comfort. Hands below, even or above your elbows.
  17. Just bought my commands this week and had them installed today. $279.00 shipped to my door. bikebandit.com
  18. need to ride it more but did seem to respond quicker and made a U-turn easier.
  19. Just got the commander ll's mounted today felt real good and rode better than the old worn tires. came home and pouring rain showed up so I'll ride later. Riding in the rain don't bother me just not starting in it if I don't have to.
  20. might be in cali where 50 degrees is their cold.
  21. try staying in 4th at that speed.
  22. I thought the commander ll just came out 2 or 3 years ago?
  23. Getting ready for new tires, would like to try the Commander ll on my 07 RSTD but it looks like I will need to use these sizes. would I have any trouble if I went this way. Mostly solo but some 2up. front: 130/90-16 73-H $116.95 rear: 150/90-15 74-H $161.95 from the Bike Bandit.com
  24. do you have cuffs on your pants? if so check them. never know where those little things fall into. No, get the kids out.
