1. A new day a new prospective, too much force not enough finesse.
2. I just replaced the starter clutch.
3. Anyone know the best way or the trick to reinstall the rotor? It came off easy, not as easy going back on. I'm at a stand still. Thanks
4. So now how do I get it back on?
5. Do I need thicker or thinner washers to improve gas mileage?
6. It took about 2 minutes to get the rotor off. All the bolts in the clutch came out with only an allen wrench, looks like there was no loctite on them.
7. If you have a 2nd Gen there was an Ipod kit from Yamaha. I used to see them on eBay.
8. I need to change the starter clutch on my 89. Any tips on removing the rotor or getting the bolt out..
9. [quote=Ozlander;i I’ve been during a lot of reprogramming the IgniTech ignition I got from Dingy. I did some riding with a vacuum gauge noting vacuum readings at different rpms and throttle settings. Could not get a wide range of vacuum readings. Finally, I installed a check valve in each of the 4 hoses from the vacuum ports to the MAP sensor. Finally, a full range of values from 5 to 28 in/hg. Using those readings, I reprogrammed the IgnTech. I also dropped the needles a 1/16” in the carbs and checked float level. During the trip I was getting around 35 mpg pulling a trailer at 70-75 mph and 45 mpg without the trailer. Would you be willing to share those settings?
10. I've gone through almost the same thing. It turned out to be an intermittent fuel pump. When it would stall I would leave the key and tap the pump which then click and run, that's how I came to the pump conclusion.
11. Was anyone else's order cancelled besides mine?

13. The places I talked to about the new starters for The Ventures and V-Max and they said they were only 2 brush or the didn't know. So I bought a used 2nd gen.
14. The red light will flash again if another fault is detected and an icon illuminates.
15. If the icon on the CMS for the headlight also illuminates then you'll get the flashing red light.
16. Just went through the same thing, it turnd out the bulb connector melted pretty bad. I changed the connector and all was good sylvania ultra star bulb. Two weeks later I decided to put in the HID kit I had for awhile. Now dealing with that.
17. I just installed a HID headlight om bike. Know I have the headlight out icon and light. The hi-beam light is on on low bead and gets brighter when switched to hi beam. Can someone point me to a how to fix this issue?
18. Found a good one in my parts collection. Going in tomorrow with a new HID setup.
19. I just installed 5.25 inch speakers to my audio system. I used the Kicker DSC54 they are a 4 ohm speaker. I was already using a after market Pioneer head unit. The unit puts out 20 watts RMS per channel, the speakers take 50 watts continuous and sound great. I am thinking of adding an amp, but not really needed. The head unit originally came with 4 6.5 speakers. Mine didn't come as well cosmetically as I would have like but it is functional. I had Kicker 4.5 in prior to this and the sound improvement is fantastic. I also used these as speaker enclosures. http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Install-Bay-VXT55-Acoustic-Baffles-5-5-1-4-Inch-Round-Shape-In-Pair-IST13-VXT55
20. I don't think the 2 problems are related. It's still usable with the loose reflector.
21. Who makes the manifold and how do I get one?
22. I was using a Sylvania silverstar. I did replace the connector.
23. I had been having trouble with CMS indicating the headlight was out. I decided to change the bulb. I found the connector almost completely melted and the reflector loose inside the light. Any thoughts on a fix for the reflector?
