  1. anyone know whether itz easier to get to the thermostat down from the top or take the radiator out? looked in the tech section and didn't find anything.
  2. ckecked those already n they're dry. thought bout those. no, itz wet up front just down from where the thermostat is. TNKZ!
  3. have developed an antifreeze leak at the front of my 06 venture, didn't leak till i brought it home from storage. leaked just sit'n in the garage. jacked it up n looked under and itz wet from the front to back. isn't wet at the top. starts bout half way down, can't see for sure but believe it'z com'n from the thermostat housing. gonna order new thermostat n o-rings and then dig into it. any thoughts or advice, TNKZ!~

  11. might get to ride this weekend round here, supposed to be inn the upper 60's friday n 70's on sat. may be the last her in northern ill.
  12. i rode once a few years back on christmas day. went against my rule of no riding with salt on the road. spent 2 days trying to wash the salt out of the nooks n crannies of the bike. will never go against that rule again!
  13. usually first weekend in june. june 5, 6 , n 7th this next year! this year i couldn't ride because i laid the bike down on may 24th really easy. i had no road rash n the bike was all cosmetic. bike is fixed n am rid,n again. but the laydown produced a health issue that i'm addressing now. showed up in the ct scan that i had a swollen lymphnode in my stomach area n turned out to be cancerous. go'n threw chemo treatments now and it is go'n very well so far. i'm on my second round of treatment and can still ride some days. so ya, anything after the first weekend in june would be good for me. i've rid'n that area some n it was my kind of road's but don't change the date on my account, i'm not that important.

  18. put in a high out put stator, new regulator, new regulator only lasted one day n it blew the main fuse by the battery, didn't make it one day. i think it totally fried the new regulator!
  19. ricks sell alot of chinese parts. i put one in from them and it didn't last very long. FYI
  20. stay away from the chinese crap! your better off to pay a little more for us stuff or mother yamaha stuff. i've not had much luck lately with china crap! just my opinion!🤔

  22. does anyone now of a good salvage yard to get parts from. pinwall is now closed, sold out. been deal'n with suncoast out of florida' but they don't have the last 2 parts i need to finish put'n the bike back together. been on the computer go'n threw the sites i could find. got the last 2 parts ordered from mother yamaha, but the one part is back ordered for 2 months. was hop'n to have the bike fixed before then. get'n the itch to ride again! i need the front right crash bar and the front right lower cowling. hope you all have a wonerful day n ride safe!!!

  24. fyi, if you want to put flanders handle bars on your bike, order the flanders, part number 650-08763. got mine today and they are the same as the 650-08761's. i'm happyall i have to change is the handle bars. rest of the stuff is ok. but then there's the front fairing. got half of those parts ordered.
