1. When i open my side boxes i tend to turn the key so they are locked when i close them, not any more. Just asking if anyone has changed there helmet or side box locks so i can pinch the chrome top caps out of them. Alternativly i will buy two new helmet locks they are cheaper than the side box locks. P.S you dont have to be blonde lol. Dave ( UK )
2. Hi Guys, how are you all. I went on holiday camping over here in the UK, while i was packing to come home i closed my pannier boxes and boot lid on my RSV and guess what i locked my keys inside, even worse was i didn't know which box i locked them in. I had no tools as they were locked in box so i was knackered. I called our national breakdown service and after waiting 4 hours ( because England were playing ) they could not help me. So another 2 hours passed and we were relayed with bike home about 3am. I managed to pick the locks with a pair of manicure scissors ( not mine by the way ) but i had to remove the thin chrome covers. ( see photos ) Then i took the helmet locks to pieces and removed there chrome covers and put them on the pannier locks. What i am looking for now if possible is anyone who has 2 helmet locks so i can get the chrome covers off them,( you cannot dismantle the pannier locks to get chrome covers of but you can fit them on ). Reason is they look crap without the covers and i still want to use the same key all round bike. If you can help i will pay for items and postage to UK. What a plonker thanks guys Dave ( UK )

9. Hi Guys Ive had a wagner grill on my 05 RSV for 4 yrs now still looks new a great product. Out of all the extras i have added the only problem i have had is Yamaha saddle bag rails have gone rusty just above the exhaust outlet. Next on my wish list is are studded mud flaps. Dave ( UK )
10. Hi Squidley Thanks for your reply, I would be grateful for any Yamaha Royal Star Venture patches and other bike related to sew or stick on my leather and winter coat. Friesman1 has posted me and sending me some stuff over and i'm really grateful. Any costs please let me know and i'm in your dept, what a great bunch of bikers. Dave (UK ) P.S Anything i can do from this end just let me know.
11. Hi Guys I have this rear wheel whine/click rubbing noise, it has only appeared about 3months after i had new tyres fitted. I was going to take it back to the bike shop but i really want to look after my own bike, you feel better when you do things yourself. So i bought the Liftmaster jack and on Sunday i had a go, i bought 2 pieces of 2x2 wood and cut away as to miss any obstacles, pics in my album. The first lift was tending to lift front wheels of first then the rear wheel lifted but on shaking bike tenderly i found jack lifting of floor so i repositioned jack towards rear of bike as far as i could go, this was determined by putting the jack with 2x2 right on the edge where the bike frame starts to rise up frame the rear of the engine. This was more secure. with this jack they sent me 2 ratchet traps but they can only be used in the eyelets of this jack once the bike has been raised, unless i find another location. Anyway i have now got the bike of the ground and i need to read on here what i need to remove next to get wheel off. I will carry on next week. Regards Dave Update http://www.myspace.com/yamahaventure work done so far thanks to advice from Venture.Org guys.
