Sorry but the V4 will never go pu ta to pu ta to pu ta to unless there is something dreadfully wrong with it. We use HD mufflers cause there cheap and you can find them on the side of the road sometimes but you have to be quick before a cager runs over them. I think the 08 and up models have the cat. inside the muffler I had a set on mine before I found out. Had one member told me it sounded like a renault they have since been removed and gone the scrap metal salvage.

Yeah I know I have the same one. But you can pull the trigger and catch the hammer with your thumb and hold it and release trigger. It wont stay cocked but you can see how it works. Recommend unloading it first in case you get confused and leave your finger on the trigger.

I gave up mickey d's shakes a long time ago for this very reason it was either broke or they had already cleaned it for the night. Must be a problem in there restaurant chain. They screw up there breakfast and I'm done with them completely.

The safety on a SP 101 and all new style Ruger revolvers is built into the gun by a transfer bar under the hammer. The bar raises up over the firing pin allowing the hammer to strike the bar when the trigger is pressed. If a finger were to slip off the hammer when cocking the weapon will not fire unless the trigger is pulled. Older models can be retro fitted with this free from Ruger there often referd to as three screw models. This transfer bar safety makes these revolvers very safe. I'm sure what Painterman was refering to is that there is not a external safety switch or button.

S/A the hammer has to manually cocked for each shot only found in revolvers. D/A S/A First shot will be a double action shot ( hammer cocked by trigger ) all following shots will be a single action trigger pull because the slide will have the hammer cocked. Typically in a 1911 style pistol. 1911 styles can be carried cocked and locked so first shot is a single action trigger pull. D/A action only refers to hammer-less revolvers and striker fired Auto's or pistols. But striker fired pistols will have a single action trigger pull on all shots where as a hammer less revolver will have a double action trigger pull for all shots. hope that didn't muddy the water to much Oh and I luv my Ruger sp1o1 DAO Others have mentioned Glocks and there only safety is on the trigger. Thats why I also have a sprinfield XD 40 that also has a grip safety.

My would be keep it original if at all possible I think it would hold it's value better. Besides how many millennium bikes are in Iceland. But if you can't I like your thinking on the older royal stars. A nice retro paint scheme would be cool if not over done. Sometimes less is more.

Never shot one or held one but they always have pretty girls in there adds. I would have thought they were a lot higher priced than what you paid unless you bought used. Sounds like a good deal.

Duh Sidecar But seriously we have the same situation I'm 6'3'' and the wife is 5'3'' but she never complains. She takes a lot of pictures and shows me things I never see because I'm concentrating on our ride and safety. If it's something really cool she will tap me on the shoulder and ask "did you see that" and sometimes we make a uturn and check it out. When we get our pictures on the computer we share the ride all over again. My suggestion would be to get her into taking pictures lots of pictures because they won't all turn out and a SD card will hold a bunch. When she shares what she has seen that you didn't see she will feel like she made a contribution to your ride and feel all warm and fuzzy inside. You have to work on there feminine side and think a lil outside the box. Just don't let her know what your doing because then it might not work you know how wimmen are.

It doesn't take long to get your 12 bucks worth around here. Oh and where is the pic's you should know the rules by now.
