  1. Hello it's been awhile since I have posted anything on here. No computer so have to use the phone and am all thumbs when it comes to it. Here is my question to any of you that maybe a collector or know of someone that is. My brother recent passed away and left his car collection to me and my brother, there is close to 400 of them all in the original boxes. We are looking for someone to give us a honest appraisal. From what I understand each one has the certificate that comes with them. I will be going on Wednesday to do a inventory and take pictures. Any advice would be welcome, I have been doing some research my self but would like to find a person that knows more. Thanks for any help you may have. Orlin
  2. We are good here, most of the rain stayed to the south of us. We just finished the last of our flood work today from the last two summers of flooding. Feel pretty bad for them its going to take a lot of cleaning up and road repairs. Orlin
  3. It was good to see those that got to come, we had good weather, got in some maintenance on a few cycles and some riding time. And Dan I think that they will forgive you by next year. Thanks to all that got to come you all made for a great weekend. Orlin and Sharon
  4. Happy Fathers Day! hope that you all have a great day.
  5. There isn't many that have RSVP on the calendar, I know that there are few that have not that have told me they will be here. It does look like it maybe a bit smaller but then who knows there are always some that just show up, good thing is they get to come. Its getting close so RSVP and let us know you are coming. I have a couple of nice rides planed out and will be putting up the bonfire and the campground will be ready for those that want to camp here. Looking forward to seeing everyone that can make it. 7. We found out today that revks Kevin Smith was on his way home from being out on a ride down into Kentucky for a few days and was killed in Indiana. We got to meet Kevin and Lisa a few years ago, they loved to get out and ride and Kevin was on his cycle every chance he could. He loved coming for Maintenance Day or just coming by to set and chat. Its always sad to know that a friend wont be coming by or you wont be getting a phone call to chat for a while. Lisa asked if I would post the passing of Kevin and asked that to keep her and their family in your thoughts and prayers and to give her a few days so she can get the obituary for me to post here before you send any cards or if there are those of you that my want to send your condolences. I would like to post more but this is all I can get out at this time. Thanks for all of the Prayers you can send Lisa and their family in this tuff time for them. Orlin
  8. What a hard thing to read, Very sad day, His family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Orlin and Sharon

We have had a great time each year, Its pretty down to earth nothing fancy, get in time to set and chat do some riding work on the cycles. So far the campground is coming back nice after being flooded 3 times last year and once the fall before. I will be moving our camper down there this week and get to mowing and cleaning up and getting the bonfire put up. Hope to make some new friends again this year and get to see some old ones. Orlin and Sharon
  10. Snow is gone and in the 60s, spent the last two days working on our septic, patch a pipe tomorrow new top on Wednesday cover up what needs to be covered back up, get it pumped and done with that nasty work. Then I just may have to start Blue up and go for a ride.
  11. Its setting with fresh gas with Berrymans in it now to get a good clean, And I use Marvel Mystery oil in pretty much everything I have. Got into the habit of using Marvel Mystery oil from my Dad he used it in everything from lawn mowers to heavy equipment.
  12. I pulled the plugs last night and put some oil down the cylinders, the old plugs looked good when I took them out. When I got home from work today I put it in gear with out the spark plugs in and turned the motor over by hand until it felt limbered up. Put a battery in it some fresh gas spark plugs back in, once the gas made it threw the carbs it took off and sat and ran:banana: so far no leaks from the carbs and it ran pretty darn good for setting so long, Now that I know that it is going to run, its time to change all of the fluids, get the brakes working and some new tires and take it out for a spin.
  13. It is the 900 with high and low range,
  14. My new Honda, hasn't seen day light since 2002 when it took its last ride to Sturgis, This 1981 Honda 900 Custom belonged to a life long friend and I also thought of him as my second Dad, and he was also our son Oscars foster Grandpa. He passed away February 24th. I am going to miss him a great deal, he guided me threw some ruff spots in life and taught me a lot of how to be a better person in my life. I sure hope that he will be proud of his old 900 when I get it all done, I am sure going to enjoy my time riding it and thinking of him.
  15. Yesterday we had rain, hail, freezing rain and snow, heading over to plow one of my roads, the Town Ship next to us put this sign up. Does this mean that Spring is really going to come.
  16. I got up to 10 degrees this morning, and the same for tonight, and snow for tomorrow. I was working in the shop today with the Venture pointed towards the door and I am pretty sure I seen it give a big shiver when I opened the door to bring in some more fire wood.
  17. Wonder what would happen if we gave that machine of Flyinfool a good drink of antifreeze maybe it would just spit out rain.
  18. Its looking like I have to put the plow on the truck for one last round of snow, Sure wish that door would get shut tight and cut off the Fools fuel to that darn machine of his, This sure makes for a lot of work for us, Have to bring more wood in to stay warm threw these next chilly nights, and a good thing I didn't put the shovel away. It would be nice to go threw one week of the same season other than winter.
  19. I am not on call again until November:banana: so maybe I can spend some more time on here other than quick looks to see whats going on. Come on Spring I am ready for some campfires and some riding. Orlin
  20. That's a nice looking ride, both of them, I do like the looks of the Stratoliner enjoy the ride. Orlin
  21. It does sound like you need to flush and bleed the clutch, I have had a couple of Ventures develop the same symptoms and that is what needed to be done. And oil on the bolt that you have in the picture, my first thought would also be a leak in the valve cover gasket. and when it warmed up it would appear to look like it would be bubbling up from there because of the heat. Orlin
  22. Eastman is not far away from our place, I had thought real hard about going and taking a look at it but just not ready for a trike yet, Might not be a bad future investment, see there I go thinking again, that and the 2nd gen is alittle lonely. Have to just say no, sure is hard to sometimes. Orlin
  23. That's a pretty nice looking ride, are you going to bring to Wisconsin for us all to see. Enjoy the new ride.
  24. I see that it has a fairly tall wind shield on it, I had one that I was working on and the owner had the same complaint about speeds of 70 to 80 miles per hour, I went threw everything I could think of, And I changed the windshield out for a shorter stiffer windshield and it was the difference in night and day. Maybe setting in the sun has made the windshield more flexible and when up to those speeds you are getting a flexing in the windshield and it is going back into the handle bars and giving it a unsteady feeling. A set of leveling links is a big improvement, and for slower speeds and town riding and in the curves a 130 front tire. For getting up and running great a new set of spark plugs first thing change the oil and sync the carbs and run some Sea Foam or another that I like is Berrymans its stronger but it doesn't seem to be as hard on the spark plugs. Good luck and enjoy the ride. My 2000 was my best Venture that I have had so far. Orlin
