  1. http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv300/RGH900/CCF16102011_00001.jpg Here's the Aussie D2 sales brochure. D2 rare indeed only made 299, must be some out there in Oz.
  2. Were the Brits selling them as 1983s and 1984s or as 1980 Models? I know the Germans got what looked like a US 1978 Z1R, but it was called a 1979. There was also a German market Z1000S that looked like a 1978 Z1R but it had four pipes and no Z1R tag. http://img2.blogs.yahoo.co.jp/ybi/1/42/3c/nostalgic_showa/folder/1193482/img_1193482_34265825_2?1299745972

  4. That graphic is incorrect, there was no 1977 Z1R. The first year of production was for model year 1978. Further, there was no 1979 Z1R in the US. The 1980 Z1R was substantially different from the 1978. Bigger tank, black paint, different exhaust, different engine. Like I said, I had a 1978: VIN KZT00D000735. Needed money, so I sold it to a kid who promptly rear ended a car and totaled it.
  5. Yes, I know. Insanely easy. So be VERY specific and ACCURATE and find the SAME pic. That should add some difficulty. BTW: I owned one of these. Bought it new.
  6. Anybody? :stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::rotf: http://www.2ri.de/Images/Big/0/Honda_CB1000_Big_One_1994_64979.jpg
  7. Well, SHOOT, Steve. I had actually saved that model for my next guess! It's a 1992-1997 Honda CB1000. Super Four. Project Big One. http://img.webike.net/mm/newbike/301cb1000superfour-t2_1994/cb1000superfour-t2_1994.jpg
  8. Not a thread locker, instead it is a gasket sealer. From Yamaha: "Yamabond 4 Motorsports is a silicone-based liquid gasket that fills gaps on a flange surface and prevents leaks. When cured, this product forms a rubber-like body that resists heat and seals joints subjected to high temperature. Gear- and engine-oil resistant, Yamabond 4 Motorsports sets in 60 minutes. Not for use on copper or copper-based alloys. Semi-drying liquid gasket seals joint surfaces with a tough elastic film. Tolerates heat, pressure and vibration. "
  9. It will fit, but mighty expensive. Here's a much cheaper one, includes bolt: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1983-Yamaha-Venture-XVZ12-XVZ-1200-Y319-side-kick-stand-10740-/371030646593?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5663265f41&vxp=mtr Or here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1983-Yamaha-Venture-1200-OEM-Side-Stand-with-Pivot-Bolt-/201061522804?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ed0335d74&vxp=mtr Here's one but missing bolt: http://www.ebay.com/itm/84-Yamaha-XVZ-12-Venture-1200-Kickstand-Side-Stand-19F-/360875771982?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5405df484e&vxp=mtr Another: http://www.ebay.com/itm/83-YAMAHA-XVZ12-XVZ1200-VENTURE-KICK-SIDE-STAND-2222-/351013863361?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item51ba0e7fc1&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/83-YAMAHA-XVZ12-XVZ1200-VENTURE-KICK-SIDE-STAND-5050-/331110171264?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d17b44280&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-Yamaha-Venture-1200-Royal-Kick-Stand-/121250206337?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c3b135281&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/90-Yamaha-Venture-Royale-XVZ1300-KICKSTAND-/191027831395?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c7a256263&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-YAMAHA-XVZ12-XVZ1200-XVZ-1200-VENTURE-KICKSTAND-KICK-STAND-/360811543280?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item54020b3af0&vxp=mtr Many more. And a lot cheaper than the one you found.
  10. Patricia, here are some from an 1988: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1988-Yamaha-Venture-Royale-XVZ13-XVZ1300-Pair-of-Front-Brake-Rotors-/360874743201?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5405cf95a1&vxp=mtr From an '87: http://www.ebay.com/itm/87-YAMAHA-XVZ13-XVZ1300-VENTURE-ROTOR-FRONT-LEFT-BRAKE-28-/370744823187?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item56521d0d93&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/1987-YAMAHA-XVZ13-XVZ-13-VENTURE-FRONT-BRAKE-ROTOR-DISKS-/230903738597?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35c2ef70e5&vxp=mtr From an '89: http://www.ebay.com/itm/89-YAMAHA-XVZ1300-XVZ13-VENTURE-ROYALE-ROTOR-FRONT-RIGHT-BRAKE-25-/370712424525?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item56502eb04d&vxp=mtr From an '86: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-YAMAHA-VENTURE-ROYALE-RIGHT-FRONT-BRAKE-ROTOR-/300925986521?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item46109626d9&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-YAMAHA-VENTURE-ROYALE-LEFT-FRONT-BRAKE-ROTOR-/300925986509?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item46109626cd&vxp=mtr Sorry, but they are all used. There was a pair of brand new OEM rotors on eBay some time back, but they didn't sell. Maybe the seller will repost.
  11. Bob, old boy, those are all for MKIs. Mike needs rotors for a 1987, MKII.
  12. I've not been online since you posted this pic of a Suzuki Katana Turbo, but I immediately knew what it was when I saw it. Haven't been able to find your picture of it as yet, though. So, my answer: 1984 Suzuki XN85 'Katana' Turbo. Edit: found it: 1983 Suzuki XN85 http://raresportbikesforsale.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/XN85_11-600x450.jpg http://www.motorcycles20thcentury.com/motors/normal/Suzuki-XN85Turbo-1984.jpg
  13. Dirt bike? Ya think!?
  14. There was a road bike with same paired Ossa engine for the Spanish market. http://motoguapa.lamaneta.net/Yankee/yankee%20500ss2.jpg

  16. "Looks much bigger" because, according to my source it is a 2010 GV250. http://www.jetsport.com.au/hyosung/hyosung-gv250.html http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attachments/motorbikes/1092039d1370252888-dsk-hyosungs-next-launch-india-aquila-250-edit-now-launched-rs-2-69-lakh-hyosung-aquila-gv250-cruiser-2.jpg
  17. That is not exactly true. Been done with good results in a freeze/thaw environment. It is all about water management. Good substrate drainage management. Air entrained paste. I will agree that pavers look better, but man! a lot more work. You could consider stamped concrete with a desirable pattern, too. Check out this page: http://www.cement.org/for-concrete-books-learning/materials-applications/pervious-concrete/pervious-concrete-and-freeze-thaw
  18. DAHIK: Make doubly sure, as you scamper from window to window, looking for your best shot, that the window is OPEN before you send that round flying.
  19. Jeff, although you said a slab was not in the cards because it had to be permeable, Boomer is correct about a slab being less labor. The excavation would still be required though. Investigate a permeable (AKA Pervious ) concrete slab. Yes, there is such a thing. The substrate would also have to be permeable (pea gravel, or such). http://www.srmconcrete.com/images/pervious-photo2.jpg
  20. Don, I am relieved to hear that your problem was not health related and I am also relieved to hear that Eileen and you are working it out. Having suffered through two divorces, I know you and Eileen don't want to go there. Here's to a long and happy relationship. Good luck! Thank you for your candor. I can stop worrying now.
  21. Yes. No. Got any young and able neighbors, nephews, friends? Beer MIGHT be less expensive than a mini excavator.
  22. This will be pretty easy, I think.
