I don't think it will work because you have no preamp voltage for the 7 pin mic form a 5 pin setup.

Mount Mitchell Mile Marker 355 and NC 128 is always a good ride, it is hard to find a bad road off the parkway. NC 151 on the other side of Asheville is a favorite also. Make sure you check the Parkway website for closures before you go https://www.nps.gov/blri/planyourvisit/roadclosures.htm

Any Part of the Parkway is good, however I am partial to the southern end, plenty of palces to stay just outside of Asheville, we usually stay at the at Asheville East KOA.

Since you replaced the stator check the pickup coil connections.

Starter turned over but weak spark and no clicking from fuel pump, everything else worked. The electrical diagram can be found under the tech library section if you do not already have it, https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?42357-2nd-Gen-Wiring-Schematics-99-09-RSV . I think the pickup coil will cause the same issue, I vaguely remember that being mentioned in the past for no spark. Either a bad connection or bad coil.

Have you tested the ignition switch? It really sounds like what mine did when it went bad, what is your voltage in and out of the switch?

I had one Venture that if you did that you could scare the crap out of someone next to you, worked well with people texting. We were talking at Asheville how many times each of us have had run ins with the kill switch.

That was when I learned the proper technique for picking up a bike, I still have not figured out the easy way to get a bike on the center stand.

Pretty much everyday, as long as they don't block the twisties we should be good.
