  1. Mine started to do the same thing on the weekend. Went for a ride and on the way home a low tone whine developed when idling. Once the clutch was pulled in or I accelerated the noise went away. What could the problem be? --- I am here: [ame=http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-34.068159,150.798371]Google Maps[/ame]
  2. I bought a venture one from pinwall and it fit fine. There seem to be more of them on there.
  3. Hi just wondering if anyone knows if the cam shafts from an 07 venture will go into a 97 RSTD. By looking at the parts list they look like they should. Thanks
  4. I have the same issue. It will only start when the clutch is in and i have triple checked the neutral light is on as well.
  5. Yep the neutral light is on as well and the OD is on no matter what gear Im in. Cheers:confused24:
  6. Ok so I flick the side stand up and nothing. I'm thinking maybe it is an issue of this form and squeeze in the clutch and it starts up first hit. Couldn't believe it after all that I didn't think to try that in the first place. So I'm guessing it may have something to do with the neutral switch?? Would that be right? The OD light stays on all the time as well would that have anything to do with the same issue?
  7. Ok I will give it go on the weekend. cheers Mirek
  8. Ok this might be the problem as for some reason it only cranks in the off position I just thought I had rewired the cables wrong somewhere. Why is this happening then?
  9. It's not that as the starter motor still cranks.
  10. Do I have a kill switch. I don't think this machine has one or does it?
  11. Hi All I had problems getting my seals changed over. So I read up on it, it may have been here and then made a video on how I did it. If you are interested please have a look here.... PS Excuse the music and acting skills. Send me a line if you have any questions. Cheers Mirek:322:

  14. Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and I'm not sure if this has been discussed before. I did have a good look through the threads but couldn't find anything that could help. So I'm hoping that someone here can help me. I have a Royal Star that I have stripped down to be repainted and some some TLC wotk on as well. Bike 1997 Royal Starr XVZ1300 I have done the following work; Hand Polished Controls New Clutch Cylinder New Foot Controls Resprayed New Battery Filters etc Many other little bits now worth mentioning. I put it back together last week and tried to crank it over and the starter motor spins but there is no spark at the spark plugs. As the starter motor spins and the coils and leads were fine prior to the work I did (it was starting and going fine), I think that the digital igniter might be blown. Does this happen? When I hooked it all up and tried to crank it the first few times I did hear a pop from under neath the seat sounding like a fuse blowing. But all the fuses were fine. If it is the igniter is it better to get a performance after-market one such as the Dynatek 3000 one? Thanks for you help in advance.
