1. I would have to look into this as you would imagine the coolant would be designed not to react with the alloys. I changed the coolant probably once every two years or when I could be bothered.
2. After doing all this I decided to do the valve seals and cams. I removed the head in order to do this. Have a look at the state if the head gaskets.
3. Ok so I got one of the heads off and now I'm waiting for the parts to put it together. Wasn't that hard after all. Not sure if I should bother cleaning the carbon off the pistons?
4. Is there a link for the cylinder pressure ?
5. I will change out the valve seals whilst I'm at it.
6. Makes sense. I have never pulled the heads of anything so I'm almost looking forward to the challenge. I h
7. I guess the pistons are in the upper position so the valves can't fall through. I think I going take the cylinder heads of anyway. I have ordered some head gaskets I just hope that I can do it with the engine in the frame.
8. Are the valves not in the closed position already?
9. Can't wait to get this finished should feel like a new bike. Ok so I have the dynatek in and the carby. I have already purchased the springs with all the other bits but having a really hard time getting them in. Are there any tricks with getting them on without taking the engine out or the heads off, that's if I can get the heads off without taking the engine out? Any ideas?

11. Im thinking of doing this upgrade just need to know. If I swap out the cams on a 97 Royal Star, will I need to change the springs over as well?
12. Will it be ok not to change the springs, as I cant compress them down with the engine still on the bike.
13. I found mine in the boot after taken the tyre down.
