  1. I have a Cb in my truck, but not on the bike. When I went down to the Big Smoke a while back, there was hardly any Cb traffic at all. When I asked my Dad who drove Transport all his life what was up he said most guys are going VHF for the longer range. Sounds right as I get allmost no chatter on any channel on Cb at home.
  2. My 84 has one, but it doesn't work.
  3. I had an 81 CB900 and my wife likes the extra room of the Venture. The 900 was a nice bike and i miss it, and you are bang on about this site, a great place to get a lot of help and a few chuckles.
  4. A great product I've used on my hiking boots is called Snow Seal , never got wet feet unless the puddle was deeper than my boots were tall. As far as jacket, pants and gloves I know of no better wet protection than gortex, but no good for protection from road rash. I think it will be good to hear what really works for people , as we all get caught in the rain or worse.
  5. You have just about decribed a ride my friend Faceman and I did in the early 80's, It is without a doubt a most varied scenery I have done in one loop. I think the only road I traveled twice was to and from my driveway. The Whistler/Squamish hwy is ( or was back then ) a treat on a MC. I now live on the Okanagan , and last summer I did the Trail/Nakusp/Home weekend which was great. The Oregon Coast was the other memorable trip. Not just for the scenery, but also for the people we met along the way.
