Not yet - but you all know me too well! Maybe we can start a pool on how long I keep it? It might surprise you all - and then again! It is a sweet bike and I'm glad to be back on a TD. The trip was interesting. I checked the weather the day before we left and Wisconsin weather was supposed to be cloudy. I got a call half way there and the guy says there is a bit of a blizzard happening! Too late to turn around so the trip took a bit longer than planned. I'm thankful a good friend had a nice enclosed trailer to loan me. It was a 15 1/2 trip but well worth it. The price was absolutely right. I may keep this one - but I have a nice Trans Am for sale or trade!

You could stop by and look at it for me! I would rather have it trailered!

I knew I was setting myself up but I deserve it! Jeff, we do need to get together. Check out the Rally we are having in July. http://Www.iowaspeedway.com

You guys know me too well!! Man, I wish I wouldn't have let my carbtune go!

Here are the pictures!!

I got it!!! I have the Trans Am in my driveway. It is a 91 with a 305 - T-tops and 62,000 miles - and I made the deal on my 08 Tour Deluxe with 3600 miles on it and warranty until 2015!! All I gave up with my 03 Road Glide with 20,000 miles so I think I did okay. I'll get pictures up as soon as I get them. I need to get the TD from Greenville Wisconsin so if anyone is coming to Iowa from that area I'd give you something to haul my bike down. If not, I have a day trip ahead. The dealer said he would keep it until I could get up there! Yippee!! I'M BACK!!!!!

Jeff, you are right, I am crazy! When the guy offer me a grand more than I paid for my TD I let it go! I enjoyed the 53 mercury summer project but had no intentions of keeping it. Then I got the Road Glide on trade for the Mercury. Honestly, I would almost trade the Road Glide even up for a newr low mile TD. This way I have the TD and a Trans Am!

Well, I might be back on a Yamaha! I found a great deal on an 08 Tour Deluxe with under 4,000 miles and warrenty until 2015. I would like to sell my 03 Road Glide first so I don't have to borrow the money and I am talking to a guy who will give me what I need to purchase the Tour Deluxe plus a 91 Trans Am GTA with 62,000 miles. So I get rid of the Road Glide and end up with a Tour Deluxe and a Trans Am with the only cost being the taxes and fees. Let's see - I've had two 2000 MM Ventures and an 07 Tour Deluxe. For some reason I keep coming back to the Yamaha! One of the greatest benefits of having a Royal Star is the Venturerider forum!!!
-
I just put my Road Glide on Craigslist with the thought that if it sells I'll get back into a RSV or TD. Mine is an 03 and ride great. I just don't like all the heat from the pipes. If it doesn't sell I'll be riding a Harley next summer - If it does - I think I see what the local dealer will do on one of the two 09 Tour Deluxe's he has left over. I took the Road Glide on trade for my old Mercury. One of my main reasons for getting back into the Royal Star is how much I enjoy this forum! I will see what happens!

Wow - what a story! One time I was driving with my son next to me and a leaf spring came up through the floorboard of the car between my son's feet! Whew!!!
-
I traded my 53 Mercury for a Road Glide this fall. It handles fantastic but if someone had a Tour Deluxe valued the same as my Harley and wanted to trade even up I would probably make the trade. I have had two 2000 MM Ventures and an 07 Tour Deluxe. The Tour my first choice, Road Glide second, Venture third.

There is a difference between a modular home and manufactor home alias mobile home. I think many modular homes are well built and built indoors out of the elements. I would make sure it had 6 inch walls and good insulation. Several good friends have modular homes and they are well built. If I were building I would consider a modular but I would also do my homework.

That is cool - Cades Cove is a must see for anyone who travels to that area!
-
Yeah - it was Parson Branch Road - fitting since both my wife and I are pastors! We went that way because the traffic in Cades Cove was stopped and it was going to take forever. People were taking pictures of bears. Anyway - it was a nice gravel road!
-
The road we took was a one way trail out of Cades Cove! Exciting!

My wife and I spent a week in Tennessee and had a great time. Left the bike at home but ended up on the Tail of the Dragon. We were at Cades Cove and took a secondary road out of the park and ended up on the Tail of The Dragon as got off the secondary road. I came around a corner and they were taking pictures. So, here's proof that I made it but it wasn't how I visioned it in my dreams!! Maybe next time it will be on a cycle!!!!

If I ever have any free Saturdays! Since last Saturday I have had 4 funerals (got out of doing the 5th) - one wedding and got called at midnight last night to go to the ER. Now I have a guy dying in hospice wing. Looking forward to a week of vacation later this month.
-
He backed out of the deal. Oh well!
-
The guy rode his Harley down for the trade and then got cold feet and wasn't sure he wants to part with the Harley. He will let me know today. No big deal. I posted a picture of my Merc when I first got it. If the deal doesn't go thru I might trade for a Tour Deluxe. I am asking 8000 for the Merc. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61600&highlight=Mercury

I get it tonight. Picture will follow

I haven't posted here for awhile as I haven't had a ride. Today I traded my 53 Mercury for a 98 Ultra Classic Anniversary edition that is pretty sweet. I decided I would rather be riding then sitting at a car show!
