  1. Got the Nikon from employer for job site pics. Takes awesome pics, and best part is easy to slip in pocket. I find it has replaced my personal 12x Canon cause it's smaller. Pros talk about having the camera when the lighting is right, like a pistol - no good if it's sitting home. Highly recommended. I'm sure the newer one is upgraded as mine is a couple years old. (8mp) I probably wouldn't have bought it because of the large viewing screen on the back with no cover - the reason I liked the Canon as that has a flip cover, but after using it....no problem. Bottom line is most of the new digitals are so good you can't go wrong. Find one that fits your hand and carries well. Good luck and post a lot of pics!

    Waited 30 yrs!

Yeah, put the Jammer on it when new - serves me well. Been wanting a Harley Road Glide Ultra new this year but the $25K while my kid is still in college was not happening. Mama said wait until next year. (Been hearing that for a while now) We have been riding 30 yr+ together (being HS sweethearts) and looking to upgrade to a little more long distance comfort. Always on the lookout for a deal and partial to Yammies with my history with the 750, I saw this on Craigslist last week. We stopped by and took it for a ride on the way home from camp. At $9250 with 1600 miles, even my bride thought it too good to pass up - I think she was looking at the $15K savings over the HD. Only complaint is the clutch basket whine which is pretty annoying, but the rest is a dream! Might try and get it replaced under warranty after getting it changed over to my name. What da ya think? Did I do good?

  6. [/img][/img] Well guys, pics of my original '78 XS750 Special - bought new and still on the road! And my new addition to the stable - '08 RSV "Stella" gawd she's somethin'! Thanks for all the info while making up my mind to make the purchase (gotta a fantastic deal)...now for the bling
  7. Got it! Good link, just need to get the bike Off to hit the hay so I can drag my butt outta the sack and produce some coin to buy it. Later
  8. Thanks tx - those are the things that really help us novices. As you guys seem ok with my questions - wife wants arm rests like the Ultra we rented and I would like a drivers backrest like I see on some of the pics on this forum - is the factory seat set up for the rest?
  9. OK - guess I will just have to get used to the noise. Any thing special I should look for one the bike that could be a problem? It's like new @ 1600 miles so I doubt I could go wrong. I'm still searching the forum for known problems. FYI - I'm riding a '78 XS750 Special I bought new~! Still runs great so I can attest to Yamaha durability. The old girl is less cushy than the Venture but still a great ride. Told my kids they will inherit it...32 years and counting Wife is ready for a little more comfort, just got to figure out what to offer $$wise (he's asking $11K)
  10. Joe, Good luck with your bike. Thanks for your questions as I have many of the same as I am also looking at a used 08 Venture. My wife and I rode it today and were impressed. At the risk of hijacking your post...(I apologize if this is taboo) I would respectfully like to ask the guys (and you) if a noticeable "whine" from the tranny/drive train is normal. We like the bike but it was quite loud (and it concerns us if it could be signs of a problem after purchase (bike has Does the factory warranty (5 yr ? ) transfer to new owner - I would be 3rd owner. Any help on the above would be appreciated and if I need to start a new post just let me know Thanks Dal
