  1. Highway 93 is actually highway 93 & 95. It splits into 2 separate highways at Radium BC, Highway 95 takes you to Golden BC and Highway 93 takes you to Castle mountain (about 15 miles east of Lake Louise) I would recommend Highway 93 to Castle mountain, it is very scenic. If you want to see Lake Louise you will need to head west for 15 miles once you get to Castle mountain. I would also recommend the Highway 1A between Lake Louise and Banff. It runs parallel to Highway 1, but is a lot quieter.
  2. Stampede traffic should be gone by the time you get to Calgary. Banff is busy all summer. Lots of tour buses. The highways between Calgary and British Columbia are very busy on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons as the Calgary folks head to and from their summer cabins in B.C. I would recommend the ride from Banff to Jasper ( 3 to 4 hours) Enjoy your trip.
  3. After reading the threads this winter I found mention of an exhaust leak at the Y. I got my bike out of storage yesterday and sure enough I have the same leak on both sides. I am taking my bike to the dealer next week and will ask them to replace the exhaust under warranty. I see a number of members have had the exhaust replaced under warranty. I was wondering if anyone has not been able to get this fixed under warranty? If I can't get this replaced under warranty, I will plug the leaks with JB Weld. I see a few members have gone this route. Does anyone know how the JB Weld fix has held up? Also, what are side effects of having the leak?
  4. You can get a whistle and pepper spray. Do you know how to tell the difference between black bear and Grizzly bear droppings? The the Grizzly bear droppings contain whistles and smell like pepper.
  5. You may want to check Canmore Alberta. It is 10 miles east of Banff. http://www.canmorealberta.com/
  6. Thanks for the Quadzilla info. I like the looks of the Scootworks trunk. Which model did you get? What is the mount like, easy to take on and off?
  7. I would like to purchase a Quadzilla Fairing for my 2006 rstd. Does anyone have any experience with the install of the fairing. Is it wired directly to the battery? My bike is black and I am wondering if the Gloss black paint option will match the black on my bike.
  8. Do you know if there is a difference in weight or performance with the different slip-ons? - BUB - Baron Bag Slash
  9. I have a 2006 rstd that I purchased new in 2008. I am also going to purchase Baron Slash Bag Slip-ons. I have seen a couple of post on the forum where people have put Vance & Hines slip-ons on their rstd. I can't find Vance & Hines for the the rstd. Do you know what they are purchasing? I live in Calgary Canada and can't find a local distributor for Baron. I was planning to purchase on-line from Phat Perfromance Parts for $314.95.
