  1. I have the 07... tell the dealer you want the remaining 2 years of the free warranty! Also, if you change out the leveling links... it will be a smoother ride and it won't be top heavy anymore! Enjoy you new bike!
  2. Keeping the bees away is a major feat once a bike as been painted pink, my RSV is a magnet for any small being with wings all through the blooming season. Can you recommend a non lemony version for "Miss Mercy" that works just as well as the lemon Pledge?
  3. That's my point, don't know if they'll work for a nine year old, was hoping to meet up with a Venture who has them already installed, so she could climb back there and see if she can reach them. Thanks,
  4. I'm wondering if there is a SC Venture owner with passenger arm rests installed that would be willing to meet up with me, so I can check out your arm rests? Mainly have my nine year old passenger check them out and see if she can even reach the rests? I've looked at many variations of passenger arm rests, my dilemma is that they seem to sit way forward of where her arms would comfortably reach, which would defeat the purpose of me funding a set. The days are warming up and are getting longer, so we could meet pretty much meet up with you anywhere in our state.
  5. Here is a photo of my granddaughter with her first motorcycle at Christmas, this was the first time she ever stood still or quiet long enough to really learn anything, she must have really wanted to ride it, as she stood there for nearly ten minutes while granddaddy taught her the very, very basics. This one will travel 2.5 mph and we can barely keep up with her. The laughter, oh the laughter of a girl with her first bike. Priceless! We won't encourage her to ride barefoot but, it was just too hot for that Fleece Christmas suit and shoes that day; totally strange weather in the south this winter. Happy Trails.
  6. It's a really big club. Once it's starts to go over... that's pretty much all she wrote. While getting to know mine... and me, with no right knee cap, it seemed every 10th time I'd put my right leg down... the muscle would buckle... down we would go. My ability to abandon ship became fairly keen early on with the her! Honestly, one time in a parking lot... she went down with the windshield flush with the pavement... and the backtire three feet off the ground. Ironically, not a scratch on her... or the windshield. She is a tough cookie like her mommy. My hubby should have had a camera on his Hog to catch all of the action... he always laughed, citing that I hit the ground before the RSV... well, naturally, as once you know it's headed south... it's best to go East or West in a hurry. I would reply... "You're going to get a hernia before my leg realizes I'm not giving up!" Not to say, I won't do it anymore... but I've not in a year. You just can't/shouldn't juggle over 800 lbs. between your legs while you're reaching backwards! Sounds like you should just pay the $5.00. Glad I didn't join until recently... I'd be a broke something, something. When and if the time ever comes... I'll have to bury my RSV... poor thing, she was dropped so many times... I'd be scared to ever sell her, the stories she could tell!
  7. What is wrong with people? It just goes back to what our mom's taught us... If you can't say something nice, then say nothing." My heartfelt thanks to every member of our nation's elite military men and women both here and abroad and to those who have retired. I reside near a military base in Sumter, SC where they train F16 pilots. No matter the noise, the rumbling of the house, or the formations in which I get to witness... I would never utter a single word that was not a positive repsonse to them for giving up their personal freedoms and any semblance of a personal life, so that I can enjoy my personal life freely and safely. 8. There are some majorly buff ladies in this club! Sherri
