  1. See you at Leon's:big-grin-emoticon: Ron:325:
  2. Hello M61A1MECH, It looks like these are the ones. The deflectors I was looking at were smoked and look vere nice. Now to figure out who makes them. Thanks,Ron:325:
  3. I was looking at the pics that were posted on the factory site but they are not the ones. I think they are aftermarket, the deflectors are supported at the top & bottom. The mount is about 3" long and fits around the top of the crash bar, also the mount is chrome. The next time I'm at the dealer I will snap a pic and post it if I can figure out how to do that. By the way, these are on a used bike at Rosenau Powersports in Dearborn Heights, MI Ron:325:
  4. Hi bikenut, I don't know what makes a bike Radial or Bias compliant, my VTX 1800R had Radials on it and pooring into curves and running 65-70 mph in a downpoor with a heavy driver was not a problem. I think the VTX was about a 800# bike. With all the input I received here it looks like a pair of E3's. Thanks to all for the info:happy65: Ron:325:
  5. I was looking at a RSTD that has a pair of adjustable wind deflectors that bolt to the upper horizontal portion of the front crash bars. They blend nice with the cowl that covers the air filters. Might anyone know what company makes these? Hard to describe these, they are about the same height as the cowl and are vertical. The adjustment allows air towards or away from the drivers legs. Ron:325:
  6. Yes, similar but not 404's. Main intent is to replace my RSTD OEM's with a similar tread as Venom R or Dunlop E3's. Would like to have Radials and the same size that came on the bike:happy65: Thanks for replys, I will look at the AM41 & 42 series. Ron:325:
  7. Been surfen the post about tires. looks like Avon is the choice:think: After looking at the tread design on my new RSTD I am not a happy camper:mad: I had Dunlop's OEM on my VTX 1800R which ran good in rain, steel grates & high speed but @ 7K they were wearing:mad: My question is: Does Avon make the sizes that are OEM on the 2008 RSTD? Did not see any on there site:shock3: So what I need are a 150/80-169(71H) Radial front & a 150/90-15(74H) Radial rear:think: Or a brand with the Venom R type tread design:happy65: Ron:325:
  8. Thanks for the info:happy65: looks like this bike as all other new bikes will take some road time:think: Ron:325:
  9. Ok, Thanks for the info:fingers crossed: Ron...
  10. Hello to All, Got a question about RSTD brake system. Are the front & rear brake systems linked? I am new to the 2008 RSTD, can't find anything in the op manual about this:think: I have been on a Honda VTX 1800R for the last 2 1/2 years which has a linked system, sure was nice to get a little front brake when applying the rears:happy65: Thanks, Ron...
