  1. What size is the bar the foot pegs attach to on the RSTD? And thanks for the response. You guys are great
  2. Just curious what you all might suggest for Hwy pegs for my RSTD. I have looked at several different brands but thought I would get input before purchasing. So, what do you all think Thanks
  3. Stick with the dunlops. They are the best performing tires for your bike. I have tried several tires on my RSTD and these are the best for the bike in terms of performance.
  4. Just curious how your RSTD is. I know you just bought a new one. Do you like it?

  5. Thanks for getting back to me. I want to light up my bike too. I will give it a shot.

  6. I have a RSTD that has just over 6000 miles on it. The muffler tips were turned town. I turned them up recently. I noticed that when I first start my bike, I see moisture in accumulating on the inside if the muffler tip until the bike warms up. This only is happens on the right muffler. Is this normal condensation or should I be concerned. The bike seems to function normally. I checked the coolant and it seems to be where it should (suspecting an internal problem). Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  7. I had the a v-star just like you. And like you my wife and I rode it everywhere. We too purchased a RSTD for comfort and better performance. I learned to love this bike and will tell you it is the best bike I have ever owned. I did get used to the noise. But the bike is the best.
  8. Does anybody know of a web page or a source of any kind where I can find a trailer I can tow on my RSTD. Thanks,
  9. are there two allen screws per tip. Or two total?
  10. I am trying to change the tips of my muffler on my 2005 RSTD. I want to take the stock tips off. I haver worked on my bike for years, but for some reason I can't get the stock tips off. How do they come off? Signed, Confused.
  11. Yes, the bike was serviced and purchased from the same dealer. The bike was so new that it had not yet had its first 4000 mile service. It is virtually brand new. I don't like the stock tires and will likely change them out. It has bridgestones and I will try metzlers.

  12. I have only had my since May. I love it and just got back from a 1700 mile trip from Nevada to the Washington Canada border. It performed like a charm. I bought this bike with only 3000 mile on it and paid 8000. It was work the price. As farm as problems with the bike, I would ask the seller if you can take it to the dealer and have it looked at. That is what I did. I also asked and received the service record. The dealer helped me with that with the VIN number. That would be my advice for now.
