  1. We got home about 8:00. I took a lot of ribbing for trailering up, but I sure am glad I listened to my common sense (Mona) and took it. We hit hard rain just south of Little Rock and was in and out of it all the way home. Several times had real high wind with the rain. But thank the good Lord we made it home safe. This was our first meet and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I met a lot of wonderful people whom I gladly call friends now. Everyone was great. Thanks to Bill and Linda, Buddy, Raymond, Goose and everyone involved. A special thanks to Danny. We were talking about our bikes ( big suprise) and I asked him about his headsets for the intercom and radio. He told me he had a new set and then gave me his old but still good J&M set. What a great guy. The generousity of this whole group is amazing. Lots of great people, but bad tippers. Thanks again and we are planning on doing more meets as schedule permits.

    Tie downs?

That gives me a pretty good Idea. Are the straps hooked to the handle bars or going over the tree? Oh well I think I got her pretty secure. Thanks

    Tie downs?

Gee Goose, This is the first time ever on a trailer. It won't be a habit but since we don't know what Ike is gonna do, and I don't have any flex time, I don't really have a choice. It's the wife's fault. (Don't tell her I said that.)
  4. Well here I am getting ready to go to Eureka Springs and I've got my reservations and am ready to get on the road. We got 3 1/2" rain last night and it looks like more today. With hurricane Ike coming in and not knowing what the weather will be when we come back this weekend I'm gonna have to trailer up. (Is that a good enough excuse?) Anyway, to my question. I haven't trailered before and am having a hard time finding where to put the tie down straps. Do you just go across the tree? Any help will be appreciated. Jerry:doh:
  5. Thanks. I just didn't know if there was another motel were more people were staying so we could kinda be with the group. Guess I'll take my chances. Jerry
  6. Hey guys, I'm finally getting off the north slope of Alaska and am going to do my best to make Eureka Springs. Any motels other than the Eidelwiess (bad spelling) as I know it's full now. Thanks:snow: Jerry
  7. Have you tried Clearview? I got an oversized one from them a couple of years ago with a gray tint and I really like it. Also got the Gold Wing vent in it.
