Those have been around for quite a while. They look pretty cool but not my cup of tea. Your pictures look fine. I wish you were right about this site bringing in 150,000.00. If that were the case, I would be quitting my full time job. Registered members is NOT the same as supporting members. It is a small fraction of that. Very small. It would be a complete and total waste of resources to let anybody upload 3.3 meg photos. A computer is not able to display that kind of resolution. If you really feel that you need to upload such huge pictures, there are a lot of places that you can upload them and then link them from here.

Don't want to think about it right now but our cat will probably not be too far down the road. We have had him now for somewhere around 16 years. He was a stray that was found in Duncanville, TX under a lawn mower at a local Walmart. He couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 weeks old and was covered in grease, fleas and ticks. It will be a sad day and certainly not one that I look forward to. At this time, he appears healthy and happy.

Many of my VentureRider friends have met our Annie over the years and know the story of how we came to adopt her. Today is a sad day as we had to take her to the Vet and say our final goodbyes. She had worked her way so deeply into our hearts but I know that the time had come where we had to end her pain and suffering. The Last Battle If it should be that I grow frail and weak, And pain should keep me from my sleep, Then will you do what must be done, For this, the last battle, can't be won. You will be sad I understand, But don't let grief then stay your hand, For on this day, more than the rest, Your love and friendship must stand the test. We have had so many happy years, You wouldn't want me to suffer so. When the time comes, please, let me go. Take me to where to my needs they'll tend, Only, stay with me till the end And hold me firm and speak to me, Until my eyes no longer see. I know in time you will agree, It is a kindness you do to me. Although my tail its last has waved, From pain and suffering I have been saved. Don't grieve that it must be you, Who has to decide this thing to do; We've been so close,we two, these years, Don't let your heart hold any tears. Author Unknown

No I don't. It looks very similar to what they call the Classic. I would contact them and ask. http://www.californiasidecar.com/trailers_classic.html

What do you want to know about it? They are a very nice trailer. High end and expensive new. I think they are now part of the California Sidecar Company. May not have been when that one was made. Either way, they are a nice trailer. You can find the new ones at http://www.californiasidecar.com

That was a fun quiz. I learned that I don't know my old cars as well as I thought I did. Only got 77%.

Thank you all for a great forum Roy

Road Glides are welcome also. I have a 2013 Road Glide Ultra and there are a couple others here also. Most of the information around here is focused on the Ventures and Royal Stars though. -
Love that bike. If I had lots of money, there would be one in the garage.

Well here's my story and I'm sticking to it. I carry two phones. One for personal and one for business. I had two iPhones until about a year ago when I upgraded my personal phone. I decided to give the Android a try and bought a HTC1. It is a nice enough phone but to be honest, I can't stand it. Little thing that Google integrates into it that I can't get rid of just drive me nuts. Like the blink feed on the opening screen. I have it turned off so that it doesn't update but I don't want it there at all. There are many other little things too but the bottom line is, I just don't like it. I went with it primarily because I did indeed want a phone with a bigger screen. Now Apple has finally introduced the 6 plus and to be honest, I would be all over it but I'm locked into this HTC1 for another year. Make no mistake about it though, as soon as I am able, I will be replacing it with the iPhone 6 Plus. My company phone is a 5s. I just like the operating system on the IPhone much better than the Android. Pretty much my only complaint with the iPhone is that they won't let you customize the icons and a few other things. I just don't get that. I have jailbroken most of my iPhones so that I can customize it the way I want but the updates have come out so often lately that I finally just quit messing with the jailbreaks.

The good news is that it can't sink any further.....it's sitting on my lawnmower. Those who have been around a while will know what this is about.

I understand. We gave away a Bushtec at three rallies I think. At that time, a base Bushtec RoadStar or Turbo 2 retailed for around $2400.00. I negotiated a deal with them to buy them for 50% off and gave them a one year banner on the site. So our cost was around $1200.00 and I think the last one around $1350.00. Then Andrew Preston sold the company and I was not able to get a deal like that from the new owners. Those were base but fully functional trailers and the winner was able to spend money if he or she wanted to in order to add the options that they wanted.

I'm pretty much guessing here but I'm thinking something like a 750 Iron Head?

That's a great looking chopper Puc. Would love to have something like that now to play with.

Clutch slipping - upgrade help needed
Freebird replied to Mover's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
That could well be your problem. Look at the label. I THINK that oil will be marked "energy conserving". If so, it is not a good oil for these bikes. The same oil that you put in your engine also goes into the clutch. They will make the clutch slip. -
All I can say to that is......

$4300.00 gas card? All expense paid trip for two to Hawaii? Come on folks, you are thinking WAY too big. In the past, we have managed to pick up a trailer at a nicely discounted price. We have usually paid between $1300 and $1750 for the trailer. Then we stress over whether or not we will sell enough tickets to cover the cost. So far, we have always covered the cost and even made a few bucks to donate to the OPE fund but not a lot. Some great suggestions so far. Keep them coming but some of you are thinking too big. We are a small group. Cash has been suggested in the past but what would be a fair split? Remember, the reason we are doing a grand prize is for a fundraiser. What percentage of the collected cash would be a fair split? We typically do a 50/50 drawing during the rally and I think that is good enough for a cash prize and not sure that making it also a grand prize is necessary.

All you have to do is open that piggy bank and you can own it. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2014/09/17/easy-rider-chopper-going-up-for-sale-next-month/?intcmp=latestnews

OK ladies and gentlemen and all the rest of you too. We didn't have a grand prize at the last rally due to the fact that I drug my feet for too long and we didn't get anything bought. As those raffle tickets are the main fund raiser for our OPE fund, I really want to have one for the 2015 rally. The question is, what should it be? We have had this discussion before and there is never a consensus but I would like your thoughts again. We could do a trailer again and that has always been a good fund raiser. It has also be suggested that we look at seeing what kind of deal we can get on a Honda Ruckus. They are really cool little bikes for running around locally or you could sell it if you didn't want it. Maybe a couple of high end motorcycle GPS units? Those are just a couple of thoughts that have come up. What say you?

Clutch slipping - upgrade help needed

I can tell you for a fact that I never hit the rev limiter in 4th or 5th gear on the RSV. I hit that mark a couple of times and even downshifted to 4th at about 115 with no problem. With the stock rear end, my '99 would run faster in 4th than it would in 5th. Never tried it with the VMax rear. -
I use Safari on my MacBook Pro most of the time and have never experienced this issue. Use Firefox on the PC laptop and haven't had the problem with it either.
