I originally installed the extra air horn adjacent to the right pillion foot rest. The top of the horn sat under the footrest, A bracket was made so that existing bolts could be used for the horn. The exhaust did not have to be moved. I have since decided to turn the bike into t single seater so I didn't need rear footrests so I moved the horn so as to use the footrest bolt locations. Hi, thanks to everyone who replied. I would be using a fibreglass fairing and would get a surfboard maker to make any alterations; heaps of them where I live; mount on the quick release locators and get a snap connection for the electrics. I would only want the outer skin. cheers,

Hi, I've just done a 3000km trip and averaged 5.3litres per 100kms. I don't use the fuel gauge; I just look at odo2w and when it hits 300kms I pull in at the next servo. cheers

The tube doesn't have anything in it as far as I can tell. I saw the end of it as it wasn't attached to anything. The manual doesn't show a photo of it at al. Just thought someone with an RSTD might know or could have a look. I'll take it of the stand and put on the side stand and crawl under and have another look.

Hi, Just been passing time lying upside down under my 2006 RSTD when I noticed this cable. I think it must be a vent tube but, I am hoping someone with more knowledge can set me right. The cable/tube shown over the exhaust in the attached photo. All help appreciated Cheers,

We used to tell our drivers to always be conscious of what appropriate speed is...to be able to stop in an emergency without damage to person, property, fauna or flora. Not trying to be a smart ass, but every accident I had until I understood this concept was driving/riding at inappropriate speed.

Take all your old socks, undies, and T-shirts and dispose of them in the rubbish bins at the motel or camp sites. You'll get lighter on the way. Also use one of those vac-pac systems for soft clothes, saves a stack of room. One days clothes in each pac. Cheers,
