  1. I don't think you'll find anything much cheaper than 170.00. Eaglerider has a few locations in FL but I'm not sure where the closest to you is. I looked though and it looks like about $160 is about their average daily rate.
  2. I don't know when this happened. Had to be during the update to the new software back in the fall of 2014 or an upgrade since then. It may be a pain to get them back but certainly possible because I have a backup still that I did right before the update to the site. I am going to have to find some help to do it though. I have submitted a ticket to the software developer to find out what needs to be done.
  3. LOL...I just want a GoPro. Small steps my friend.
  4. I've seen that before and yes, I think it is VERY cool.
  5. Yes, they come with an online fuse. Per factory instructions, it is usually inside the faring so you will likely have to split it to find the fuse. Many of us put that fuse in a more accessible place when we installed the lights.
  6. I've been thinking about buying one also. Will want the waterproof enclosure because I plan to use it on the wave runners also. Haven't even started shopping yet but have never seen any great price differences between one store and the next.
  7. Not my cup of tea but a beautiful bike. Ironmike here sold his RSV a while back and bought a new Concours also. He loves it.
  8. I saw no problem with any of that. That's the way we are supposed to do things. I'm just happy to see that your Christmas decorations are still up....now I don't feel so bad about mine. Glad to see that you don't read instructions either. It's the mark of a real man. If you had actually read them, we would have had to ask that you turn in your man card.
  9. She has nothing to do with it. This is a company car.
  10. You mean something like this? I just added it to the smilies under the "messages" category.
  11. I almost like it. What I need though is something with blind spot monitors. That's my biggest issue as I travel every day. Being blind in my right eye makes it hard for me to take a good look to the right. I've looked into them but all require drilling body panels and etc. I was sure that I could find something that just attaches to the side mirrors but no luck so far. My wife's Murano has then from the factory and it's a great feature.
  12. I think this is an example Eck. http://www.marinepartsdirect.com/boat-maintenance/hatch-hinges.html
  13. Doesn't matter...I'm thinking about shutting down the chat room after that shaking pig picture. I'm greatly offended.
  14. Gnester, welcome again but none of this matters really. Without pictures of the newly acquired bike, none of it happened.
  15. I hate cancer. Our family...and i know that most families...have had to deal with it far too often. Please know that he is in our prayers. Also know that these aren't just words, prayers can be powerful and the promise of them is sincere.
  16. Thanks...was just trying to come up with something that fit where I needed it to.
  17. Well, because I get an email of every post made on this forum, I actually KNOW what the original question was. BUT....I'm not about to end all of this great discussion.
  18. Mufflers for the touring models are all the same. Road Glide, Street Glide, Electra Glide, etc. Be careful of the years though. There were a few years, and I forget which years that Harley put a catalytic convertor in the right muffler. Actually, never mind. You are talking about after market mufflers. Only the OEM mufflers are affect by the catalytic convertor.
  19. Some of the mods could work but the carb swap is not just a simple swap. It requires a custom machined intake at the very least. There have been some who have done it but I don't know right off hand of anybody offering that adapter. The newer RSTD are different in a lot of ways. They use the larger carbs, dual air intakes, etc. @StarFan is a member here who lives in Iceland and has done that mod. He went with the larger carbs, big air kit, VMax cams and I'm not sure what else. I know it was a fairly major undertaking. I tagged him in this thread so hopefully he will provide some more insight.
  20. A lot of people here have installed the Harley mufflers on these bikes. I'm talking about on the Royal Star Venture and the newer RSTD though. I'm not sure what it would take on your RSTC. I would assume that you would first have to find a 4 into 2 exhaust. It just requires the fabrication of a simple bracket. I know that some have installed fairings also but I'm not sure about the OEM Harley fairings. Most I've seen have been aftermarket.
  21. Prayers out to both of you. A dreaded disease that affects way too many lives. Be strong, be positive and kick it's butt. We are on your side and praying for you.
  22. I remember a post from Eddie long ago stating that he had put a deposit down on one of these. Don't know what ever became of that or his deposit or how much it was. Of course we lost Eddie a while back so will never know.
  23. So just an update on the chat room. I've pretty much done all I can with it. It works well I think from a computer. I have also tested it on the iPhone, iPad and it has been tested on an Android based tablet. I find that it works on all of them but not all functions work. The problem is that the sounds and some other features from the menu use Flash. iPhones, iPads and some Android based devices do not have Flash. That means that while you can chat with those devices, you will not be able to hear sounds or send sounds. Maybe not smilies either, not sure. So, you should be able to chat on those devices but not all the features will work. Still the best I can come up with at this time. The only way to make a chat room work the same across all devices is to find an html based chat solution. I've looked and while there are some available, I haven't found any with all the little toys that most of you enjoy so much so for now, this is what we have. I hope you enjoy it and I apologize that it is not perfect for everybody.
  24. A few flurries here but the ground isn't even covered. We are showing zero chance of snow for the next several days and up to 47 degrees next week.
  25. Looks exactly like mine the day I brought it home. Except for the trunk rack (added the next day) and the LED headlights which maybe I'll add someday. I've added a lot of things to mine sense then though. Let the customizing begin.
