  1. I don't want it. But I want to ride it. Powered by a 470 hp Maserati engine http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2016/03/02/lazareth-lm847-is-mad-rad-v8-powered-ride/?intcmp=hpffo&intcmp=obnetwork
  2. I agree that it is always better to start a new thread with your question but my quick answer is that you will likely find rejecting not necessary.
  3. HEY....now you stay out of this.
  4. The end result was that they won't work anymore. I you have old ones with the concave bottoms they should be fine but not new ones with the flat bottom.
  5. I've never had to do it. Just read about it on here. I wouldn't think that all the pins would need to be replaced though. I would just inspect them and verify that they are all tight and secure.
  6. Maybe this will make you feel better:
  7. They just named it after me because I use them so much.
  8. It is behind the clutch basket. Take a look at this thread and see if it helps. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?40713-Clunky-Shifting
  9. Don't give up my friend. There is obviously a problem and you will find it. Handling is fairly easy to improve. They are not crotch rockets but performance is generally pretty darn good. Take this back to the second gen tech talk area and I'm sure you will get some help. You will probably get some here but more there.
  10. It's OK but everybody makes mistakes and we try to be a bit kinder to new members around here. And I DID move the thread to the correct forum so now you are asking YOUR question in the wrong place. Shame on you.
  11. LOL....well....all I can say is that I'm glad that SOMEBODY knew the answer. I was going to have to try and find it.
  12. LOL....hey....go easy on him. He is a new train member and probably did it by mistake. I'll move this thread.
  13. You need to read the first post again. He said that he saw in a previous post that he read it would supposed to increase MGP and HP. I don't know that it was ever actually marketed to do so. I don't know for sure either way but just feel that unless I see evidence that it was, I'll give TUGS the benefit of the doubt. I haven't seen any actual ads from them in a long time. Now my '89 SS, as the VMAX Boost conversions were often referred to, did not have the actuator on it and was open all the time. I don't doubt that it may have run better with the actuator, don't know because I never rode one with it, but I can tell you that it ran very strong at both the low end and top end. I did a bit of research back a good while ago and found that quite a few VMAX riders disabled the actuators and ran them open all the time. Don't remember what the reason was but it wasn't uncommon. In regards to the patent, it would be interesting to know when the TUG system actually came out. I have no idea but it could have possibly come out before the VMAX was produced.
  14. I've heard of it. It was marketed back ....I don't remember the years and there has been some discussion here about it in the past. From what I have read on it, it certainly wasn't snake oil. Regardless, you have something fairly rare.
  15. Fine...then I'm not telling you where it is.
  16. WOW...the Puc with one finger. That would be like a politician with Laryngitis. Hope you get better very soon my friend.
  17. I just came across a video that I posted on YouTube ... probably a year or more ago... just after In installed the V&H Monster Round mufflers. Just under the video...there is a warning that "my video appears to be shaky...do you want us to stabilize it". Even YouTube makes fun of the Harley. You have to click on "YouTube" at the bottom right to go there and actually see the warning message.
  18. I just replied in the other thread but you should check this one out first. Typically better than Red Rood Inns. They show starting rates of 75.00 per night. http://www.lq.com/en/findandbook/hotel-details.6385.address.html?from=%2Fcontent%2Flq%2Flq-com%2Fen&searchCity=North+Olmsted%2C+Ohio%2C+US&indate=02%2F29%2F2016&outdate=03%2F01%2F2016&specialRates=RAC&promoCode=&sessionId=0acdc15d-7108-417a-8380-964fc01a01e0&searchType=GEO&lat=41.4156025&lon=-81.92347259999997&searchRadius=40&addressredirectPage=null&stateAndCountryCode=+Ohio%2C++US
  19. Yes, Norton will have to be uninstalled. It was the only program on my system that had to be removed before installing Windows 10. If you want to continue using it, you will have to upgrade to a newer version. That being said, Windows 10 comes with it's own anti-virus software, Defender. Not sure how it compares to Norton (Symantec) but I'm going to stay with it for now. My company has a license for Symantec but until I get back to the corporate office, I won't be able to install it. I'm not really concerned about it though.
  20. I agree with you. I like Windows 10 just fine so far but there is really nothing earth breaking that Windows 7 didn't do just fine. My main reason for upgrading was because of upcoming software that the company is implementing. We use Microsoft Streets for keeping up with all our customers when on the road and doing visits. Streets has been discontinued and is no longer supported by Microsoft. We are looking at a few different options to switch to. All will run on Windows 10 but some are not supported on Windows 7 any longer. I just decided to go ahead with the upgrade and get past any learning curve before moving ahead with which ever customer tracking software we go to. I honestly didn't expect to like Windows 10 but my preconceptions were also based upon what I had seen of Windows 8. Turns out that 10 is fine and there is basically no learning curve at all.
  21. You are thinking Windows 8 again. Windows 10 is a lot different. Not saying you should upgrade, but it sounds like a lot of your perceptions are based on Windows 8. I agree with you about it. That's why I never installed it.
  22. LOL...well...I did spend a lot of time in Hong Kong and China with my last job but I never did learn the language so it must have been 3.1. I'm not sure. I just know that it was probably about 25 years ago or so. I actually DID buy the language CDs and study Chinese for a while. Never got it down though. I don't think you can even speak Chinese with a Texas accent.
  23. Yea, sounds like we started around the same time. At least with PCs. My first computer was actually a TI 99-4a. Used a cassette player for backup and programs. The last decent graphics software that I had was Corel Draw version 12. It stopped working when I upgraded to Windows 7. I never replaced it because I just didn't use it that much and there are cheap and even free software that does all I need for it to do. The Dell that I just upgraded is actually my company issued laptop. I use my MacBook Pro for all my personal stuff now.
  24. Many of these comments I had read before and were what had caused me to delay upgrading. In my case, it was all much todo about nothing. All the intrusion concerns and etc. are easily turned off. Touch screen is absolutely not necessary unless you want to run it in "tablet" mode for some reason. I am sure that some people running very old software could have issues but I still have software that I ran on Windows NT that works fine on Windows 10. There are a couple of software packages that stopped working before but that was when I upgraded to Windows 7. The fact is, you can only get by so long without updating. Sooner or later you are going to be opening yourself up to security issues and etc. If you are running Windows 7 then I think you will be OK for a while yet. At some point though, upgrading just makes sense. I have had pretty good luck with Windows. I ran for years with MSDOS and refused to use ANY version of Windows. I think I finally started using Windows 3.2. I also used Windows 95 and then Windows 98. I then moved to Windows NT. I moved from NT to Windows 7. Maybe Windows 2000 after NT....don't remember for sure. I never installed Millennium or Vista. Then from Windows 7 to Windows 10. As others have said, the upgrade was completely flawless.
