  1. I actually had this issue on the '06 I had. Everything seemed to work fine until I was on a long ride several weeks later. Took it to a shop who basically held me up because I was running darkside on the bike. The bike Started and ran fine until it didn't, as they say. No issues after a new fuel pump.
  2. That's a shame. I will say this, being through acquisitions and mergers, there is a lot involved and a lot of work. It's not uncommon for customers to be ignored for some time after. I've seen this because of technical issues, personnel departures as well as just stupidity. That being said, they will lose business over this and should 100% pay very close attention to the customers. You are buying the business for a reason and you need it to succeed fast.
  3. It's sad when you've been with a company for so long and you see the issues and can do little to help correct them. I've had 5 full time jobs in my adult life. One, the first, was only 6 weeks because I was not given what was promised. I've been fortunate to be able to have had my own side business for about 15 of those years. My tenures are not as long as yours, 6 weeks, 2.5 years, 5 years, 12 years and 18 years in the current company. During this time my roles have changed dramatically too. From a tech building PC's and networks to managing DR, office construction projects around the country to basically anything no one else wants to do. If it's hitting the fan I get the call to manage the issue to resolution. It's kept the career challenging enough to keep me interested. As far as retiring, I tell everyone I'll retire at noon the day they bury me. Part of that is choice, part is not but hopefully can change that before the time comes.
  4. My OC is coming soon and I'll need to put a rear tire on already. Mfgr and OEM replacements got about 13-14K on them. That was great but the third OEM only has about 6500 on it and the wear is a dramatic difference on this one. Time to look at darkside again. .
  5. Sprecher is the best I've had in a long time. Available in our local HEB grocery. I believe they are out of Wisconsin though. There used to be a small Mom and Pop place in Elyria OH that made their own. This was 20+ years ago but you would bring your own jug. Used to take cleaned 1 gallon Milk jugs.
  6. The only issues I've had with bluetooth connections between bikes is the distance. With the DMC radios (all brands, I think Sena has a set like the Cardo) the big key is distance. Cardo docs say up to a mile. You can also have up to 15 additional riders online in the group. I've been in a group with 5 and it worked well. To the point where we heard each other singing along to our music LOL. The MICS on all the brands seem really good too. Noise cancelation etc. I wore a half helmet with a boom mic and people said they did not hear any wind.
  7. From what I can tell it looks like the Edge is the replacement.
  8. We've used the Cardo Setups (Packtalk Bold) for a long time now. No issues. They will also Bluetooth to the bike. I've been out of site of others and been able to hear them well. It would be nice to find a way to connect it to the SVTC's native wiring harness. then the CB becomes fully operational.
  9. Awesome! Wish my wife would get back on a bike. Even with me. She was on a spyder and it's hard on her shoulders. On top of that she was almost hit by a Semi crossing the yellow line. Now I think she's too scared.
  10. I have to say this group has the best looking bikes. Even the Wings and Spyders. Not sure about those Harleys though, LMAO.
  11. With and Without the Trunk
  12. Don't wear all that stuff but just my helmet is more expensive than any clothes I have. Not the picture I want to leave y'all with so I would add jeans, shirt and boots.
  13. Wait until you lose power. When I moved south and our first house had the main water line coming out of the ground and then into the house, yeah, I was floored.
  14. Sold my Black Cherry 06 in '19 and bought the 2018 red SVTC. Put 16K+ on the first year and with The COVID Scam I'm only at 39K now. Looking to put many more miles on it.
