  1. No worries, I don't usually do much riding at night but if it is too far gone I understand. I also pass near neosho every couple months so if you want to save on the shipping I might be able to stop by and pick it up next month.
  2. I replied to the other thread but I would get two. If the 100 people who looked at the thread would order one we could be getting these ordered tomorrow!
  3. I wish I knew what was causing this problem but I don't however I bet there is someone here who does and you will have that 86 roaring down the road in no time. Step away from the matches! Good luck!
  4. The part numbers match so it should fit. I am not worried about small scratches and consider it a challenge to fix them. Let me know how you want to handle the shipping and I can do paypal or android pay or old fashioned check.
  5. Any chance we could get another order set up for these bells? I bet there are enough new people now to fill a order.
  6. I have PTSD just from reading the story! Unfortunately there a great many who would sympathize with this story and believe it to be true.
  7. Great thread! I would like to second the MSF courses also just because. I started riding before I had a drivers license back in the day but had a 10 year hiatus before starting back up a couple years ago. I took the BRC at the local harley dealer and used their bikes. It was a blast and emphasized all slow speed maneuvers and taught me that I wasn't even close to knowing everything I thought I knew. I took the advanced course last fall and it has really helped. The one thing most reviewed was that no one wants to practice the slow stuff and no one wants to practice what to do in an emergency. I haven't ridden in three months and my first stop will be a local parking lot with some small cones to practice.
  8. I will bite and I'm all for this idea of paying it forward. I need the 89 stock windshield if it is still available and I will offer up my current shorty windshield when I get get it replaced. I love this forum!
  9. Many of the smaller Methodist churches have "part time" pastors when the congregation can't afford to pay the salary for a full time pastor. These "part time" pastors are often given several small congregations to serve. It is a full time job for them and often requires a great deal of driving on Sunday mornings to get to the churches on time and dedication to serving often diverse groups over a wide area. Not to mention visiting the sick, shut-ins and the weddings, funerals and everything else they get to deal with.
  10. Ok, I hope you are happy. I managed to kill 30 minutes looking at how many different types of centers of things there are in the lower 48. http://clui.org/page/centers-usa-map
  11. Happy New Year! I can't wait for spring. Big plans to roll up the miles this year! Hope to see some of you on the road.
  12. Yep, I was afraid of that. It looks like I have a shorter than stock screen. If I tuck down a couple inches, no buffeting so I will look at the aftermarket stuff for something close to stock.
  13. Just beautiful! That new bike smell!
  14. I just bought my 89 Venture Royale in August with 37000 miles and I absolutely love it. It's not exactly what you are looking for but you shouldn't turn one down based solely on the model year. It looks great and runs like nobody's business. It will probably get me my first ticket just because it is smooth and you really don't realize how fast you are going.
  15. Riding it to work and enjoying every minute of the cool weather! I really like this bike!:big-grin-emoticon:
  16. I get a lot of wind buffeting when riding and was wondering if this is the original windscreen. It is 15.5 inches high from the center to the top of the plexiglass. If this is correct, has anyone tried any of the aftermarket extenders? Thanks all of you for your help and knowledge. Pep
  17. Man! Glad you are okay. Hang tough, that road rash sucks when it is healing.
  18. Good luck! IMHO there is no such thing as a free horse, boat or motorcycle! All will cost you time, money or your sanity.
  19. The pictures do make it look good and I am happy with it but in person she is showing her age.
  20. Hi all, Hope everyone was enjoying the weekend. I participated in my first benefit ride for the local VA PTSD program and it was a blast! 130 miles made this my longest ride with this new bike and my wife came along as a passenger on both open four lane and some twisties. No problems and 38 mpg. This bike really likes to go, had to keep my eyes on the speedo or I would find myself exceeding the limit by a significant amount. Total of over 200 miles for the weekend and I couldn't happier! Cheapest therapy around.
  21. I had the spring ordered today. My local dealer had three of the washers in stock, I guess a lot of them get thrown away.
