I think a clear motor could be built today, but it would have a 6 possibly 7 figure price tag..... A few windows is about as close as I can get. You would really love some of the old aircraft engines with 16 cylinders worth of exposed stuff moving around.

I have already acquired a set of side covers that I was planning to cut the middles out of and install windows, And maybe even some LEDs to help see whats in there. I was going to do all 4 engine side covers. The green antifreeze will look like flowing kryptinite, Not sure what the oil will look like, flowing chocolate? Might require getting that nice purple Barnett clutch setup......... Maybe paint some swirl patterns onto the flywheel....... @cowpuc, hows them thar ideas on yer ol ticker.

The red line does not prevent over revving, but you can not honestly say you had no idea what RPM you were turning. Maybe the limiter came about from those that were ignoring the red line, coupled with a 5 year warranty?

Glad it got sold. WHAT? us? Verbal abuse? Who would do a thing like that?

There is no tach. A tach or other gages, did not go with the retro style they were after. They had to have something to prevent over revving.

I hope they find something fixable.

The fake cooling fins were a test to see if an air cooled tourer would still sell. No one seemed to mind the fins, and some complained about them being fake, so they are making them real......

I start at 9:00am with a CT scan of the heart. Then have to sign in for surgery by 10:00am at the most extreme opposite corner of the hospital complex. This complex covers 6 city blocks. Then they will take 3 hours to prep me for surgery at 1:00pm, actual surgery is expected to be around 5 hours. I will be spending the night there.

1st gen did not have a rev limiter, it had a tach with a red line.

In addition to all of the above, the vibration could even be lugging the engine. These engines like to rev. They can not be driven like a harley.
