Here in Michigan it's the law to use seat belts but helmets are optional for bike riders if certain conditions are met. I personally support the right of others to make their own choice on helmet use but my wife and I won't ride without one. Love those Cushman Eagles! Pleaded with my folks for years to let me have one when I was a teen but had to settle for riding my best buddie's Eagle. Have kept my eye out to buy one for years but they are usually way too much .

I just did a trade and got 7K for my 2009 with 48K miles.....Time of year, condition, and dealer profit requirement makes a difference as others have stated. Add-ons don't seem to do much for the price. I don't feel bad since I only paid 9K for it two years ago. I might have gotten another 1K out of it if I sold it myself, but didn't want to fool around with it and it probably wouldn't have sold til spring here in Michigan. The important thing on a trade is the difference anyway and dealers have the advantage playing with the numbers.

Thanks to all for the kind remarks. Guess I found out how dangerous it is to visit a dealer. [emoji33] Went in the other day to get a price on a pair of Michelin commander 2's for my RSV and three days later, new bike. [emoji1303] This beauty was parked just inside the door so I couldn't miss it and she called to me. [emoji16] Didn't help that the wife fell in love with it also. Hope I will still be allowed to participate here once in a while but I pulled the trigger this morning on the purchase of a 2014 HD Tri Glide trike. Hated to part with my RSV, it's been a great ride for the past two years. Now that we are a trike oriented couple, decided to move up. The Voyager set up we had was a precurser to this and it served us well also but obviously, this is a major step up. Sweet ride and electronics up the wazoo. Ready for any :buttkick:from all you HD fans......
