  1. I saw an interiview with the lone suvivor. He gave a first hand experience of what happened and the movie was just like he said it happened. The Navy Seals and Special Ops guys are a special breed. If you want to see another account of a Navy Seals mission go to you tube and type in Jessica Buchanan. She was hijacked by Somila pirates and spent three months in the desert until rescued by Navy Seals. Her account will send chills down your spine. It is the actual inteview that was on 60 minutes. The movie was excellent but I left pissed off at the US Military. There should have been some higher up heads of military kicked out of the military. They should have never let those guys to die alone. At the end of the movie they showed the awsome air power the US has but where was it at when the seals needed it. The military could have gone in and when they left there wouldn't have been a leaf left on a tree. And last, it's a disgrace to send guys into a mission and for them to be afraid to kill someone if needed for fear of going to prison when they get home. I thougt after viet nam we had learned our lession but obviously we didn't. God Bless the Navy Seals.
  2. I didn't believe the Florida law didn't require you to have liability insurance if you wear a helmet because that makes no sense. But I called an insurance agent in Florida and he said that is correct. The reason it doesn't make any sense is the liability pays the other person if you are at fault and they are injured. It doesn't pay you anything, so if you hit someone and they are injured what difference does it make if you are wearing a helmet. There must be some stupid legislators in Florida.
  3. I've been trying to sign up for obamacare everyday since 12/23. When I get to the next to last step the site locks up. I would like to call the white house and tell them what I think, but if I did there would probably be secret service agents knocking on my door the next day.
  4. Finding the right fit for me on the stationary bike was easy. I just lifted the seat up and down until I found the right fit. I could never get the right fit on the eliptical.
  5. The only stupid question is, why did you buy a first gen. Just kidding, don't get upset.
  6. About 5 years ago bought a Gold's Gym eliptical from QVC. It was on sale for $500.00 dollars. I didn't like it because it made my knee hurt and I've never had trouble with my knees. Used it just a few times and gave it to my daughter and she doesn't use it. I bought a schwinn airdyne and have been very pleased with it. Our local hospital uses airdynes for rehab because it doesn't hurt your feet or knees. The hospital uses it for rehad with heart patients and other surgeries. It has handles that move back and forth so you get an upper and lower work out. The eliptical may work great for you but I didn't like it. One other thing, the airdyne doesn't take up nearly as much room and the eliptical.
  7. The scams never end. I came into the office last monday and had a message from the IRS to please call them immediately and the indian, I mean person that called, said "Do Not Ignore This Request" or they would file suit against me in Superior Court. I called the number and the person on the line said they were filing suit against me in Georgia Superior Court the next day if I didn't settle my tax debt. I wasn't born yesterday, I know that you don't file suit in Georgia Superior Court, it has to be in a Superior Court in the County I live in. So I asked they guy which county I was being sued in and he said "Georiga Superior Court." When I told him it had to be in a court in a county and he was full of bull s**t he hung up the phone. I called my tax attorney and he said this was a popular scam going around. The next day I had another message stating it was from the IRS. The message gave me a number to call and stated for me to enter my social security number and the next representative would get my file and get on the line. Another scam. If the IRS calls you, you can bet they already have your social security number and know about you than you do.
  8. What do you have to do to replace the RSV headlight bulb to a PIAA? Do you just replace or is any mod required.
  9. Hey Mike, Will you let me know what find out. Mine is doing the exact same thing you describe. It isn't tearing just coming apart at the seam.
  10. For the first time, I'm having to split the fairing on my 05 RSV. My radio and CB are doing strange things. I looked up and printed the right up Freebird did on splitting the fairing but my questions is, Do I need to use some kind of electrical cleaner or just use dilectric grease on the connections?
  11. I have an 05 RSV with the pillion seat. The seat is coming apart at the seam on the right side. If anyone has a stock seat for sale, please contact me.
  12. Changed my plans. Rode south instead of north. Rode to Cedar Key, Ocala, Daytona and St Augustine, Fl. Weather was perfect. Didn't have to wear a jacket during day.
  13. Anyone know what the weather is supposed to be next week in the Cherokee, NC area.
  14. I didn't know you had a choice of a crown or not after a root canal. The two times I had a root canal I wasn't offered a choice. The endodontist told me to go back to my dentist and have the crown.
  15. When harley first came out with a liquid cooled engine I was saying it was water cooled but an ultra classic rider corrected me and said it was liquid cooled. It's cooled by a thin grade oil.
  16. I had a root canal last week. The procedure is not bad but I would get a second opinion or go to an endodontist that is reputable. The endodontist will xray the tooth but I would also get him to look at the tooth under a microscope to make sure there isn't a crack in the tooth that can't be seen with the naked eye. If there is a crack in the tooth the root canal won't do any good and you will still have to have the tooth pulled. Some endodontist and dentist will do a procedure just to get the money when you really dont need the procedure done. Last year my dentist told me I needed a root canal and I let him do it. Three months later my jaw was hurting and my cheek was swelling. The dentist said he was going to have to re do the root canal. I got in the chair but the dentist couldn't get the packing he put in the tooth out so he sent me to an endodontist. The endodontist re did the root canal. Three months later more pain and my cheek was swelling so went back to the endodonist. He looked at the tooth under a microscope and said there was a crack in the tooth. When this happens bacteria gets in the tooth and it gets infected. Only solution is pull the tooth. I believe the dentist that did the first canal cracked the tooth but I can't prove it. Another tooth was causing a problem last week and the dentist told me I needed a root canal. When I went to the endodonist I asked him to look at the tooth under a microscope to make sure it wasn't cracked before I had the root canal. I don't think I would ever let a dentist do a root canal on me again. Endodonist are specialist trained in doing root canals. Good luck.
  17. I purchased my 05 RSV new. Yamaha replaced the rear end five times under warranty. The rear end was going bad every 5000 miles. When the fifth rear end was installed by a factory rep he asked me if I pulled a trailer. I told him I did not which was the truth. Nothing else was ever said.
  18. The guy always heard harleys hold their value too much.
  19. Moto Guzzi has a bike that looks a lot like this one. But it's not for me.
  20. No one will know until it is introduced. Yamaha will not even let yamaha usa people know.
  21. I was pretty harsh on progressive in my original post but they deserve it. Everyone praising them get ready. They are not the same progressive they were a few years ago. I was upset with them when I posted because I had an insured that was paying $178 per month for auto insurance with 25/50/25 liability but when it is due in November they aren't going to renew. I called and asked why, they said because they ran a report that shows him living in Florida not Georgia. He hasn't lived in Florida since 2011. They want me to get him to bring in a copy of a utility bill, rental agreement or homeowner policy. I'm not goint to do that so I was going to rerate with another company. I called up his policy with progressive to see in anything was on his driving record. There was a surcharge for an unverifiable mvr. I went back to my notes and on 10/28/2011 I sent them a copy of his georgia drivers license and they removed the surcharge but on the renewal they put the surcharge back on the policy. I called and the cust serv rep said progressive would go back to 2011 and credit him for the screw up and he would have a credit of $378. I quoted with another company and can give him 100/300/50 liability for $122 per month so he signed a cancellation that I faxed to progressive and I rewrote him. Monday I went on progressive's web site and it shows they sent him a refund for $135 so I called and was told they aren't going back to the 2011 term. They are only going to give the credit on the current term. This is not an isolated case, it is happening all the time. They're calims service is going down hill and a claims rep with them admitted this. My brother-in-law was stopped at a traffic light and was hit in the rear by a progessive insured at 10:00am and the driver was charged with dui. Progressive made two appointments to meet my brother-in-law at the body shop but didn't show up. He called progressive and they assigned the claim to another rep that told him the new reps they have hired don't know or care about customer service. I just fought with them on a motorcycle claim. I've had this guy insured with progressive since 2005. He bought a 1800vtx honda and spent $30,000 customizing the bike. He stopped at a convenience store and when he came out the bike wouldn't start. He called his wife to come get him and they borrowed a trailer and went back and the bike was gone. It was found two days later at a truck stop burned. After 30 days of jacking him around and even requesting he sign a release for his medical recoreds he called me. I got in on the claim and talked to the rep. They said it was unusual to find a stolen bike burned. I told him this happens every day with autos. They felt like he had it stolen. I told them if they had proof deny the claim if not pay it or they would be held liable for bad faith damages that could be many times more than the claim. They decided to pay. This isn't an isolated case, it is happening more and more. I go on a linked in page for insurance agents and there are agents all over the US complaining and saying they aren't going to write any policies with progressive.
  22. Next time I need advice on my auto or home insurance I will call a bond specialist. When I need a bond I will call a home and auto insurance specialist.
