  1. Sorry not sure why link did not work. Click link and it takes you to the homepage. From that point click the tech library tab and than click 2nd gen. On the next page click the electrical lick. Scroll down and click speed sensor test. I had to replace my sensor a few months after I got my venture. I went online and got one from pinwall cycle.
  2. Check out this forum. Mine was doing the same thing, replaced the speed sensor.http://www.venturers.org/Tech_Library/index.php?action=article&cat_id=002007&id=315
  3. Found the problem, new spring would not recoil back. Replaced with old master clutch spring now it feels and works much better.
  4. Thanks to all, I am going to keep going as some same I might just need to get use to the friction zone. I might just have to try and get in contact with dingy.
  5. Beautiful looking ride
  6. Yes it was a full disk that replaced the half disk. Just came back from a short ride. At a stop in 1st gear releasing the clutch lever 3/4 way out I can feel the bike starting to move forward. At that point I need to give more gas and move clutch lever back and forth until she starts moving. It like taking off with the bike in 2nd or 3rd gear. Does this help
  7. I used skydoc 17 complete upgrade kit. I took it apart twice just to make sure everything was in correctly. The instructions said I did not need to reinstall the bail wire. This is the first hydraulic clutch on a motorcycle. Before I did the upgrade it was slipping. Maybe it is just that I am not use to it yet.
  8. Need some advice please. I did a complete clutch replacement from disks to slave to a rebuilt master. When taking off from a stop I need to feather the clutch and throttle. Once on the road she runs like moster strong in all gears. Thanks
  9. Received my seats from rick butler and got them back on my ride. Today was a beautiful day for a ride, first one of the seasons. WOW want a difference Rick does does an amazing job on them, I would recommend this to anyone. Thanks Mr. Bulter
  10. Loved the look of the short antennas so I ordered the antennas online, went out and purchased: 2 - 8mm coupling nuts and 2 - 8mm X 6mm stub reducer at the Hartville Hardware store, went home and the antennas arrived. Took the old whips off and to my surprise the 8mm was too big, UGH. Was thinking, and went out and got some aluminum ½ inch round bar new taps and ¾ inch heat shrink. Final results ;-)
  11. Our prayers and thoughts...
  12. I use this with my IPod so both Bluetooth headsets (Sena 20) can hear the music, works great. http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=108&cp_id=10823&cs_id=1082703&p_id=9722&seq=1&format=2
  13. When I did mine, I read somewhere to have the cover off and very slowly move the clutch lever and you will see small bubbles. Keep doing this takes about 15 mins. When no more bubbles are visible, replace cover and bleed as normal. Worked great for me. Hope this helps
  14. Check out the lights I installed on saddlebags, I picked them up at auto zone. Scroll down to the second set of pics I posted. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/general-tech-talk/94923-winter-projects.html
  15. Supertramp (Goodbye Stranger) and Earth, Wind & Fire (September). When I hear these 2 I think back to the great times I had with my friends on the s ake river.
  16. The only way I know how is to connect your headphone or speaker out from the TV and connect the other end to a computer mic input. I use sound record on my computer to save as a mp3 format. Hope this helps
  17. Pictures of the the LED lighting I added. Red, (White headlamp) and Blue

  19. I have used a Frogg Toggs rain suit for a couple of years before I meant my lady. What I like about them is that they kept me dry, light weight and the stuff stack. Now that I do a lot of 2up riding with my lady we use Nelson Riggs AS-3000. It does a great job of keeping dry. Either one of these products would be a great option. The only downside to nelson is that you cannot use a stuff sack like frogg toggs.
  20. Was looking at that today at work, was doing some research on it. Glad I logged on and was reading forums here before I contacted the seller. From what I was able to find out this is a good trailer for the price.
  21. Check out this, this is what I used to get the parts needed for my slave http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=85880
  22. Thanks for all the advice, I'm going to rebuild both master and slave. The first thing I did when I got her was to flush out all the old dot 4. It was black and had all kinds of junk in it like slim. Planning trip next year to Yellowstone so I going to do a lot on maintenance her this winter. Thanks
  23. Need some advice for my 99 RSV. I am a second owner of this ride. I got her in April with under 40k now she has 47K. On our last road trip down south over 2K, I was getting the slipping in the higher gears. I ordered the upgrade from skydoc_17 ( ). Now I m losing clutch fluid (DOT 4 BF), so I'm going to replace my clutch slave. Should I rebuild my master at the same time? Thanks
  24. Did my first carb sync on the baby:) Big difference with the ride and throttle response between the before and after. Thanks for all the information that is place provides. Ride Safe
