  2. Sailing ships and sailing men will sail the open water... Where the only thing that matters is the wind inside the main...
  3. :rasberry::rasberry: to you @cowpuc and a Neener Neener to boot
  4. I can print it and use it for dart practice I'll try to hit the other bike in picture #1
  5. Great..... Yer West Michigan, semi-lop-eared-varmint mug is my prize for calling you out? I'll call it even, friend. Bob
  6. @Yammer Dan I can't say I know you personally because we have never met. What I can say is that I have looked in on you from time to time on this forum. I know you're hurting and I am very sorry for the accident you are still recovering from. It wasn't your fault, nor was it the 2nd Gen's fault. The thing I can't figure out is why you are beating yourself up for it. You have written more history than I can dream of trying. Please don't be so hard on yourself. All the members of VR adore you in their own ways, and we only want the best for you. Bob
  7. I cain't belive @cowpuc would even dare... Never thought I would see the day... is one of the rules he has built his vast reputation upon. This is a thread composed specifically to talk about pictures. I see no pictures, resized or not. @cowpuc.... common man, give us a pic.

  9. Thanks for referencing Schumi. I'm a fellow F1 fan and the incident with him is still a hard pill to swallow. Hardest since Senna, but that doesn't relate here. Bob
  10. I bought my rear rotor from Motorcycle Superstore. They also have fronts. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/864290/d/2005-yamaha-royal-star-1300-venture-brakes
  11. I ended up draining the radiator, pulling it to the side, loosened the header pipe so it would swing far enough away. Long day, but got it done. Maybe I can actually ride this thing now. Bob
  12. I like the sound of a firmer seat. I still feel like I sink too far into mine. I'm 6'3" 245 and don't think I'm terribly abnormal. My buddy has a Mustang seat and that is a lot firmer than the pillow top on the Venture. It seems like I sit "on" his seat, rather than "in" my seat. I'm gonna be interested in watching how this progresses. Bob
  13. Does @BIG TOM have any stock? I don't have a VR shirt, but I'd like a few. Bob
  14. I have a couple guys around me that I haven't been able to catch yet. One was a rust colored first gen that I first saw on Summit Street in Elgin, IL. While stopped at a light, I got to tell him he had a great bike. He said he only had it a short time but was loving it. Tried to talk to him, but he had music in his helmet and could not hear me. I saw him again in St. Charles, but I was at a light and he was crossing at speed. Never caught up to him. Second time, or is this third time...., I came out of a Jewel food store on Larkin Avenue, and there was a black 2nd gen in the parking lot. I waited a while, but the rider didn't come out. I think this is the same bike I have seen a few times, didn't bother to look at the rider. The reason I ordered a bunch of the domed decals was to give them to riders that didn't know about this site. Sure wish I had them with me in the car instead of in the trunk of the bike. ( rather wish I would have been on the bike ) Bob
  15. Bring it, we ain't scared.
  16. I am having a problem that might come down to... I just don't get it. I need to replace my shifter seal. I have the middle gear cover off. It seems that I need to remove the linkage that clamps onto the shifter rod, but the front header pipe is in the way. Do I need to take that off to get everything out of the way? If so, how the heck do you get the front pipe off the engine without taking off the radiator? I'm a bit frustrated right now with this, so maybe I'm not thinking clearly. Suggestions? Bob
  17. Slowrollwv made mine for me just a week ago. Very sturdy and great looking product. I also got twinkie covers which look sweet. Bob
