  9. Thank you to both of you Vanriver and Buddy for the info. I am also wondering why the cylinder heads and that was a question I was going to ask about. For me the main reason to check this bike out is the Side Car and it is a model of side car I really like. My wing was a naked 1980 that I added a Vetter faring and bags and trunk a couple years later. Could be tough if we decide this is the one as I really love riding my 02 midnight, thanks again for the info. Mike
  10. Hi Gang, I know a number of us have ridden Gold Wings currently and also in the past, tomorrow morning I am going to look at a 1986 Goldwing with a Champion Sidecar, is there anything that I need to pay special attention to with the 86 wings, from the add the cylinder heads have been rebuilt and it has new timing belts. From the picture in the add it looks in real decent shape and the price is right..... Anyway any tips or info would be really appreciated. Thanks, Mike
  11. Saw the title and was thinking I had signed into the wrong website........ya it has been one of those days. Always glad to hear someone getting the scoot out for a spin, even better when joined by someone special. Mike
  12. Thanks, both he and I are on kijiji all the time, him for Harleys, me for a nice sport tourer and possibly a side car rig.
  13. Some real beauties there Scott, I am passing the adds on to my brother thanks. Appreciate the help Mike
  14. Ok it is my brother that is looking for a new project, all of what our esteemed member from Michigan said is bang on and thank you again for your help with this Mr Puc......to tighten the parameters of the search a bit, my brother is looking for a HD from the 40's to 60's, his preference is an FL style. If anyone has any ideas or knows of a bike looking for a new home, the info would be appreciated. Thank you, Mike
  15. Very good news Don congrats. We had to put our Black Mouth Cur down at the tail end of November, he was my guy we had him for over 13 years and I miss him everyday, we still have our other dog an Australian Shephard mix and she has done better then we thought she would with out her buddy being around. Like others here when our dogs went Tammie and I agreed that we were not going to get another dog. So when I hear about folks getting a new four legged family member it brings a big smile to my face. Congrats on the new pup. Mike
  16. looks like a couple of people have alot of time on their hands. just saying.
  17. Hi Dave, Yes I am working the bike show on the Friday, but we have to run our daughter back to Peterborough on Saturday, she has to work at the Petes game that night and school starts on the Monday. Won't seem right not being at the dinner, but life does get in the way at times.
  18. Doesn't look like we will make it this year, I hope everyone has a great time. Mike
  19. well may as well add to it, we still have a couple jugs that Tammie made up from before Christmas 2014, sitting at the back of the fridge. It is almost time to crack them open. It is true the pie does get better with age. Mike
  20. Hi Larry, I hear ya on the cost, there is a small dealer here in my neck of the woods that sells Urals, Royal Enfields and Kymcos, but they also do alot of work on side cars. A couple weeks back we paid a visit to discuss a side car for my RSV.... man o man love the idea of a side car, but the extra 12,000 or so to get one on it is a bit daunting, checking some of the local adds here there are a few for sale but even the cost of those can be silly, I am in line with what Cowpuc said about a used Ural, that is another option we are looking at as well. The Ural is a very cool looking rig. heck we have even found the doggles for the pooch so she can also go for rides. Good luck with your search. Mike
  21. Sorry to hear about this Carl, very glad all are ok and the house was not touched. We hope everything works out ok. Mike and Tammie
