  1. My 87 does that from time to time,I just shut the bike off and rock it a little and it slips into neutral no problem.
  2. you might check into "Taking Care Of Our Own" to see if they have a chapter in your area. They provide funding for victims of terminal illness .
  3. I thought all the hondamatics were designated as "CM" not "CB", I know my 83 450 was.
  4. probably start button sticking a little, headlight shuts off when start button is pushed and it probablly isnt coming back out all the way .try WD40 to lube the switch ,if that doesnt work you will have to disassemble and clean it.
  5. That was GREAT WOOO HOOO ! Cuaght myself leaning into the corners(on full screen),almost layed down my computer chair.
  6. had one great car,you would think being a 455 that mpg's would be bad but not really, all depends on whether or not you can keep your foot out of the carb.Only weak points I noticed was U-joints on the CV SHAFTS and the need to keep trans fluid and filter changed on regular basis.Pretty cool jumping on the throttle and fogging the front tires about off though.
  7. I know just how that feels,I just finished a series of injections in the L4-L5-S1 region and it made a world of difference.I have been off my bike since end of August when my legs wouldnt support holding it up at stops, also couldnt walk more than about 100 yards without legs quitting working. I went back to work 2weeks ago and back feels pretty good.Hope you get the same results and quick healing.
  8. Try locking your bit in a bench vise and then turning the collet,if its tightened that hard it might just hold enough to allow you to break the nut loose.
  9. I dont ever buy winter tires ,i have found the douglas x-tra trac II tires available at most wal-mart tire and lube centers are very effective on snow and ice. I liked them and trusted them well enough to put them on the cars that i sent my daughters to college in driving through the tug hill snow belt area dailey, doesnt hurt that they are also about the cheapest tires wal-mart sells either.35k warrantyand greatself cleaning tread that you dont have to remove in the spring.
  10. Good points on pressure in your tires ,I have also found tire compound has a lot to o with traction .your 80k tires being hard compound dont bite in as well as a softer compound tire.Good open sipes generally make for a good self cleaning tire improving traction.
  11. Just a little confused about what turned rotors and tire pressure have to do with winter driving.
  12. Well you know ,next course of action there will probably be a state of emergency, schools shutting down for tomorrow, might even have to activate the national guard.
  13. gee, i really feel sorry for you, must make for some awful hardships.

  19. There is also a phone scam going on ,appears to be running in the northeast at this time. You will recieve a phone call from an individual[ with a heavy accent ] claiming to be from (National Educational Systems)needing to update your filefor the student loan you applied for. When asked for the number there to confirm the company existance they will hang up and call again in 15-20 minutes.Iwent through this for about 4 hours a couple of nights ago.best to just let the answering machine screen the calls.they also are using the name AUTO FINANCE NETWORK.The number you get on caller I.D. is out of Arizona and changes every third to fourth call.the FCC tells me this is all being done from the internet and they are having a hard time blocking the activity. Whatever you do dont respond to these individual .
