  1. Large flatblade for me as well, just make sure you are not pushing the wires.

  2. Yep. I was trying to find a picture for you, but didn't come up with one. It won't take a whole lot of effort to open it up.

  4. Have done a few rides over winter months but today was my first official ride of 2022! Mileage at start was 113500klm. Filled tank at $1.62Can. per Ltr. When I was done paying for gas the guy on the next pump asked what year my Venture(shocked because usually everyone asks what it is) was and told him it was a 2012 . He commented how good looking it was and he is thinking of getting one also. He said he a Boulevard now but has been looking at an older Venture(I think 1999 or up or maybe older --not really sure)) He said he might look at the first gen as he is tall and was a tight fit on the 99 . I said we had quite a few taller people that ride and suggested a few things that might help. I also gave him our website information if he wanted to look us up to get ideas and information. Also told him it was $12 a year to join. Hopefully he gets a Venture and joins up!!

  5. I believe that I think I might maybe have an explanation for you. At least I think I do. There are a number of different that wires are held in place by this sort of holder. If you take your peter-pointer finger and bring it together to the tip of your thumb you'll form an oblong circle/hole. That is kind of what that holder looks like. When first done at the factory the tips are very close together and can be thought to be one piece, but they are made to be pried apart so that the wires can be removed and then re-inserted later.

  6. I’m gonna start with the shims as you mention and see what it does. When I say it leans a lot I mean a lot. I’ll take a pic when I get home.

  7. Looks like the wear is in the frame eye. OPTION 1; It there is plenty of meat drill out both frame bracket and kick stand to accept a larger diameter bolt. OPTION 2; As long as there is enough meat and only the frame bracket is worn, slowly drill it out until you end up with a round hole or close to round hole and fit the hole with a steel bushing that has an inner hole same as bolt size. Try to get a snug fit but a sliding fit as long as there is no play is fine. Coat both hole and outside of bushing with Loctite's green sleeve and bearing set. Wait a few minutes, wipe away any excess and reassemble. BTW green Loctite will fill a void up to 0.020" securely.
