I hate stupid people!

So my wife and I are starting our long holiday weekend early and we are on Highway 20 in Iowa, about 10 Mikes outside Dubuque and I approach a Semi trailer. I check my mirrors and see a Grand Prix coming up on my left. I keep my turn signal on and he (they) go by. I begin my merge over and the "stupid" driver in front of me now, the Grand Prix, decides that him and his buddies think it would be funny to "hit the shoulder" of the highway at 65mph and kick up dust and rocks behind us.

At first I thought it was an accident but as I backed off about 6 car lengths, they decide to do it again and again.

By now I am pissed! I drop it down a gear, and as I start getting up to them, sense comes back to me and I just back off and get back in the right lane...only for them to slow down! You have GOT to be kidding me! What little punks! Now I am livid!

All while this is happening the semi we both passed is back on my tail again. He MUST have seen what was going on because he gets over in the passing lane to go around me.. Honked his "little" horn, gave me a thumbs up, and put it to the floor.

The Grand Prix must have seen him in his mirror so he decides to get back in the passing lane, in front of the semi and the Semi gets back in the right lane.

I am about 50 yes behind both of them now and just when I thought it was all over with, the Gonda Prix starts to slow down again BUT so does the semi truck. He gets beside the car and lays on the "BIG" horn and scares the Holy hell out of those little punks. They put it to the floor and I watched a big puff of smoke come out the back and they were gone!

I caught back up to the truck, pulled beside him and he looked down at us and gave us the "ok" symbol, rolled down his window and yelled "ride safe"!

What a super nice guy! [emoji106]

To bad we have so many stupid people in this world! [emoji35]

Making a stop in Dubuque right now. Gonna go up 52 through Gutenberg and follow river road to McGregor and cross the river to Prairie Du Chein and ride on the Wisconsin side to Lansing and cross back and head south into the back side of Harpers Ferry where we will Park the bike for the night.. And have some drinks!

Where are some ideas to ride in Wisconsin? Somewhere within a few hours of Lansing, IA or Harpers Ferry, IA? I have already been North towards LaCrosse, WI, Wabasha, MN and Red Wing, MN. I was thinking somewhere North and East of Lansing? What is the scenery like at the Kickapoo River? Any nice roads to ride?

Is the casino ferry still on the Iowa side of that bridge? Hubby was born and raised in Prairie and whenever we visited the family the buffet in the hotel there was always one of our stops. Pa in Law would go over about 4 pm and get dinner for the lunch rate. Wish we could get up there, raiding the Shihata orchards and Schullenburg Cheese was also a regular thing for us. Parents in law used to send us about 30 lbs. of the cheese every Xmas! The last time we were up there, one of my store's co-managers turned out to be from that area and she had us bring her back some of the cheese curds from the local grocery store. Talk about old home week!

Are you talking about Diamond Jo casino boat? If so it's not a boat anymore. They built a big building and took it off the boat. They have the casino and the Dog Track casino. About 50 miles north there is still a casino "boat" in Marquette, Iowa.

Stupid people? No, not really.

Just more of what this society is producing more and more of everyday.....I call them "the jackass generation". Self centered, interested in their own satisfaction and no concept of consequences. Just like those fools who make the jackass movies.....

I used to joke about having a list of people that were too stupid to live... but it became unmanageable, lol. It really irks me when people are stupid. I understand that everybody makes mistakes from time to time, myself definitely included, but when people do stupid things all the time... I have no patience for them.

I try to not let myself get wound up over these things anymore, causes too much stress.

Ya know? I'm not trying to go all Christian and everything on this subject, but, there are large number of verses in the good book that instructs to have nothing to do with a fool. I have a tendency to believe some of the stuff I see in that there book of guidance.

As for my own experiences; I can't say that I have ever had a good experience when I engaged a stupid, or idiotic, or foolish person.

You should get a message out to Orlin Engh for areas in SW Wisconsin. That's his specialty. None better.
