Peder_y2k Posted January 18, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2015 I was at the Home Depot electrical dept. today and spotted these, and my first thought was they could be used as a replacement for the rubber straps that hold the side covers on the MkII Venture. It seems to be a small bungee cord with grommet, and about the perfect size for the application. -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA
Prairiehammer Posted January 18, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 18, 2015 Perhaps. Have you tried it yet?

86er Posted January 25, 2015 Share #5 Posted January 25, 2015 The last time I checked, the rubber straps were still available from Yamahaha for just a few bucks. But that has been a couple of years ago. I might try to order a couple just to have on hand, but that would mean I would have to remember where I was keeping them when the time came!! dna9656 Posted February 22, 2015 Share #10 Posted February 22, 2015 I would roll them up and put them under the radiator overflow bottle, or with the compressor, under the seat maybe....I have 2 or 3 rubbermade style boxes I use for parts, I might keep them there. dna9656 Posted February 22, 2015 Share #12 Posted February 22, 2015 How silly of me.... I think I knew that. If I had a name for my bike I'm not sure I could post it here; after all there are rules of decency.... Sometimes I have a nice name for it... Other times I don't. KIC Posted February 23, 2015 Share #13 Posted February 23, 2015 What I did to keep from losing mine is to use a small piece of bailing wire on the inside where it catches on the frame and wired it so it will not pop off when disconnected.
