Where is Rocket?

Rocket seems to be missing from the site. I know he was going away for retraining into the Civilian life but I thought the Armed Forces would let him have internet access while in training.

 :stickpoke:

Retraining for civillian life is extremely intense and internet connectivity is strictly forbidden due to all the corrupted opportunities that exist as a civillian (as if Rocket has not been exposed to such things :whistling:)

Ya ... where is he??? (hope he's ok)

I spoke to Rocket a few weeks ago. He was doing well then.

It is possible that Rocket is also going through the Re-civilianized "Special High Intensity Training" and is under wraps for now.

I was just wondering the same thing. I am used to getting my "Rocket" call asking how my bike is running and my latest bike related issues.

I hope he isn't in any trouble as I heard today that the North Koreans moved a "Rocket" towards the it's east coast. :shock3:

Haven't been on the laptop, been setting up a new desktop, with 3D display (27"), 6 Terrabytes of Hdd space (so far) & also put most of the movie collection on 4 @ 3 Terrabyte external Hdds as well. Only can get so much done, getting up at the "crack of noon". Been thinking of a new NAS as well (need a larger & faster one).

Yes I have been keeping an eye on the news, but haven't had this site, on the desk top until now. Bubber told me about the inquiries, tonight on the phone. Kinda surprised Condor has not said anything, I talk with him most weekends.

I had also somehow srewed up the left shoulder, so I have not even worked on the bikes or truck. Due to the shoulder, my re-training is on the back burner until its good, as I don't want to waste $20,000. The truck is going into the shop on thurs for some work, but I don't have the tooling for those jobs anyways. Will need to set the alarm, for 6 AM that day GRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNN.

:mo money: :mo money:

So for now, I have been doing the "retirement thing", all kinds of time & still not getting much done. Kevin, I have been meeting up with Bill, a couple of times a month, for the meat draw, at the local Legion, too. :stirthepot:

BTW: Have been getting a chuckle out of "Coast to Coast AM", been streaming it over the net, mostly from Utube, onto the computer or the WD TVlive hooked up to the 47" 3D TV.

  • 3 months later...

I spent 2 weeks in northern Alberta to check out courses, after waiting for the flooding to diminish & close to 6 weeks in Idaho (by the time I leave here).

Scotty found a new use for used MC rear tires, he installed one on the front of his tractor. This was supposed to keep the rim out of the dirt (or so he says). His wife & kids did not even notice the MC tire install.

The Idaho stint was some hauling hay & then re-building Pakidaho's big trailer. Worn out suspension, a shot spindle, riding only on the rear axle (with the shot spindle). So a complete suspension replacement was performed, including a 8" lift & heavy duty components & self adjusting brakes. Now it rides within 2" of being level, Vs a 7" difference front to back. Also mostly re-wired it too, as brake wiring was overheating (suitable for 2 brakes, but not 4 brakes. Breakaway system was not hooked up, broken wiring junction box & confusing wires for the lighting. So all wiring was replaced except for the front clearance lights. Rear clearance lights also needed work (poor ground & busted mounts) & added fender clearance lights after these pics were taken. Looks like the smaller trailer needs bearing work this week too, as the wheels have some wobble in them. Erv discovered this today, while hauling a cow back here, that Terri just bought.

The tractor pics are of Scotty's with the MC tire on it. Put another on it Scotty & it just might pass Condors 2nd gens (they spend to much time parked, they must be just home decorations).:stirthepot::duck:

Terri has not gotten to E-mailing me the before pic of the trailer. But here are some after pics, with 5,000 Lbs of hay on it.

BTW Terri got the F450 & trailer stuck right after finishing loading, so I towed them out with my K1500 Chev 4X4.....

:thumbsup2::canada:

Just talked to Rocket. Good to hear from him. Waiting for calf to arrive. That was one of the most interesting things I can remember when I was little. Watched 1st one when I was about 6 yrs old!!

I looked at a trailer day before yesterday but lady thought it was made of gold. I need one to haul 4-wheeler on and in case I ever get old and slow down and get a 2nd Gen!!!:whistling:

Rocket, Good talking to you last night. Hope you have a safe trip back. Now get back and finish getting your bike back on the road.

And no, I don't think the front grader of the tractor will fit on your 1st Gen.. although it could be used to blade out the slower 2nd Gens out of the way while riding.. :whistling:

Okay...so we found Rocket! We found him in some interesting places. The trailer seemed to be fairly interesting to Rocket, thus he figured since we almost broke it, he would fix it. He then helped haul hay! We joked about turning our Canadian into an Idaho Cowboy, or Farmer...then our MiniMoo (Dexter cow) named Mommie and Rocket had a chat. Mommie was concerned about our intentions and thought better of hanging out too close. Still, we found him. We promise we didn't break him...

Looks like Sprocket found true love. :smile5: "I met her in a field and we both felt the attraction....it was very mooooving for both of us", claims sprocket. "We went behind an old rusted trailer and well......"

Nope, Mini Moo didn't want her pic taken & these were the closest we could get her for any pics (about 15 feet) & the bull was on the other side of the fence & was agitated, from us trying to corner Mini Moo.

She is about the right size for a Mini Muffin, though...... Still debatable on which is taller, Mini Muffin or Mini Moo..... :stickpoke::duck:
