Watching thread....

Has a meeting time and place on Saturday morning been established?

Not yet as we're still waiting to see who all intends on coming. For you I'd say my place as I'm just 3 miles from I-94/Metro-Airport. You'll have to go past here to whever we do decide to meet anyhow.

Thought you were heading North West, might be better to pick him up in Lansing or Flint depending on which way you are heading.

I have been watching but doubt we are going to make it, sounds like fun though

Do you have a route planned yet?

We plotted a route to & from while you & Jeannie were test riding the CanAm's last week. I tweaked it a bit and gave the info to Joe who's going to check it over for any more fine tuning.

Ya that's a possibility if he's coming thru Sarnia/Port Huron

Why don't we head South into the warmer weather ? :stirthepot:

Oh ya now you stir the pot after we start the plans. :headache: Wanna offer suggestions on where to go if we head south?:confused24:

Here is the route we plan on doing any other suggestions are welcome along with stops on the way for eats and breaks.

Ok here is route for Saturday:

north Territorial rd west to north M52, west on M21 at Owasso, north on M66 to Ionia, west on M46, south on M131, west on M82, north on M37, M37 intersects with M10. once on M10 we stay on it to Ludington @ 5095 W. US 10 Days Inn.

About 277 miles from my house

Sundays route home:

East on US 10 to north US131, East on M55 to southeast M115, south on M66 to M46 at Six Lakes, east on M46 to M66 south, east on M57 to south M52, then either take M106 to Gregrory and M36 to 23 or maybe stay on M52 to N. Territorial rd again. Left the end to be decided on where people want to jump off. We will discuss it with whoever goes on the trip. This route is just over 300 miles depending on which routes we take at the end.

Check it all out. Let me know what you think we need to tweak if necessary. I haven't plotted yet where any rest stops or a lunch break would be at yet either.

On the return trip could you possibly mean East on US10 to NORTH 31 (instead of US131) 31 goes north to 55 then east to 115. US131 and 115 intersects southeast of 55.

Fast food as in Wendy's. Arby's. Mickey D's. Taco Bell., etc or a sit down restraunt in the family type or perhaps a coney place?

Larry

Yes we could go either way might decide that if everyone wants to try that route. I looked at it and seen what you were talking about..:whistling:

Check it out also Larry. :)

What CITY is the departure point? My map program finds North Territorial Rd in 4 different Mi. cities.

What is the street NUMBER of the departure point?

Map program doesn't find an "Owasso" in Michigan, only in Oklahoma, but it finds an "Owosso" in Mi., ....same diff?

What is the departure TIME? If I'm aiming across from Port Huron I might be looking at meeting up in Ionia or Owosso, if that is indeed the town, and if I get the timing right.

Details, details, details.....WHEN you gottem, please.

Actually, when we leave Ludington take a look at going thru Irons to Dublin to Wellston then up to M-55 it's a much nicer ride on 2 lane paved roads. There's the Dublin store in Dublin that has the best and biggest Jerky selection in the state. Our hunting cabin is not far from there.

As for food; A good family style diner for any meal is always a good choice. Fast food if we must.

North Territorial starts on the east in Plymouth and goes west to M-52. Owosso is correct, there is a great old train station there. 3 converging tracks. The train station could be a good spot to meet up with you. As far as timing goes, What time could you be there Saturday morning?

What time could you be there Saturday morning?

2 minutes BEFORE you plan to be there.

Like last time I did this ride, I left my cell phone number with a passenger (or driver with bluetooth) who could text me a play by play on your progress, if need be.

Which way you plan on coming across the border? Do you intend on joining up for the start or intercepting the group? We'll probably meet at the Sunoco station on corner of N. Territorial & 23 at 9:30am. And if you want you could meet us either in Owosso or Ionia as one of the two towns will be our lunch stop. Will decide which later.

Thanks for that suggestion. We can do that. I had looked at some secondary roads on the maps but not knowing the area well didn't want to end up on a crapy or unpaved road.

Karl that was a misprint I ment 31 not 131 but will probably use Jay's suggestion as that does sound good.
