Big Daddy Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Can anyone tell me were I might purchase some additional mercury for my old style carb stic?
hillrider Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Might be a little tough since it is now classed "Hazardous Material". Good Luck
rumboogy Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Yep...very hard to get a hold..almost like a "controlled" drug. Anyway...drop some mercury at a hospital and you'll see LOTS of people scrambling or drop some on a Navy ship...and you'll see EVEN MORE chaos. LOL (Don't ask me how I know this).
Freebird Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Dennis Kirk used to sell it. Might want to check their website.
Freebird Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 OK...it's not mercury but the current substitute. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=&store=&catId=&productId=p282857&leafCatId=&mmyId=
MiCarl Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 OK...it's not mercury but the current substitute. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=&store=&catId=&productId=p282857&leafCatId=&mmyId= I don't think that is a mercury replacement. It's the refill for the SyncPro which is not a mercury manometer.
V7Goose Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I'd check with a scientific or school supply store, since mercury is such a standard science supply. Even if they cannot sell it any more they should know where/how to get it. Goose
pegscraper Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I got some a couple years ago at a local Honda dealer.
Black Owl Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I had a source over in St Paul. Will check with them the next time I am in the area to see if they are still selling it.
