This one sure looks like its going to be devastating. I hope you all in its path are safe. We will be praying for you all. Keep us updated if you can..please!! gunboat Posted September 12, 2008 Share #2 Posted September 12, 2008 hi all so for only wind blowing harder, not suppose to see the big wind (100+ mph) untill after midnite. i live up on the north side from houston, about 45 + miles from galveston. been thru super typhoons(195+ mph winds) in south china sea and island of guam. so this no biggie but then again i didn't have 30-40 foot pine trees in my yard over there either. thanks for asking i feel we will be lucky here. hope all who live closer to the gulf come out ok. best reguards to all don c. I know that Lonna's mom and sisters have left Houston and are about 50 miles inland.
