Depends on exactly where it’s leaking from. It is very common for them to leave at the freeze plugs behind the fake cylinder find. Very easy and cheap fix.

have developed an antifreeze leak at the front of my 06 venture, didn't leak till i brought it home from storage. leaked just sit'n in the garage. jacked it up n looked under and itz wet from the front to back. isn't wet at the top. starts bout half way down, can't see for sure but believe it'z com'n from the thermostat housing. gonna order new thermostat n o-rings and then dig into it. any thoughts or advice, TNKZ!~

Venturing Sole started following Looking for advice on how to sell…
-
Never sold parts or bikes before, so asking advice on how to proceed. Here is what I have: 2006 RSV black cherry mostly disassembled. 140,000 miles on engine (all me), fluids drained and valve shims removed. Engine ran fine. Rear pumpkin gear teeth stripped. Inner fairing has cracks, but intact. All other body parts in fair shape plus I have extra saddle bags and fairings that have some cosmetic damage. 2000 RSV Millennium #404/1500. 59,000 miles (22k of which were me). Decent condition and ran great until an electrical issue that I could not figure out. Been sitting for a couple of years. I still ride my 2004 RSV, but my wife is getting tired of the hanger queen garage scene. Would probably accept offers as long as it isn’t a loss if shipping is required. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks David Nelson

Got called in again to work Sunday morning. Must get my beauty sleep. Good night to all.

28° is cold on the Venture, but you went on your first Venture ride which is priceless. I usually take the SVTC on cold rides below 45°. Our consolation: Warmer days is just around the corner.
-
Went on the first Venture ride today, 28° brrrr I should clarify that it was the first Venture ride of the season, we had the CanAm out in March… just before we had 36” of snow.

Last couple days getting around to cleaning and reorganizing garage for more access to work on bike on table lift. Too hard to lay on ground and get up every time I need something!(usually right after I get down) Newest email after reorder says sometime next week! Going to start getting bike ready today or tomorrow so I'll be able to fix when parts come in!

I should have one. I’ll look at it tomorrow afternoon to see what it looks like. I junked on 07 a couple years ago. -

Pm Saddlebum, he might have one -
@sleepy2 Another $25 dollars to get the right part and a delay. Another week of waiting and you should be all set. Hang in there. I know, it can be a little frustrating when ordering online. On my end, I've been riding the SVTC all week since the morning commute has been on the chilly side. RSV will get an oil change Sunday night after work. Got called in to work once again for the weekend. I was able to cut my grass today and washed the wife's car. FWIW, 'Mission Accomplished' for Friday. Have a relaxing night.

Got an e-mail last night about the parts I ordered! I was informed that the Stator I ordered was not available and DID NOT fit my bike like it said in the catalog so they gave me the right number for the one that does fit my bike! It will be $25 more! So now it will be next week before they arrive!

valve cover gasket leaking oil on back left side
RoTorKev replied to maddog2498's topic in General Tech Talk
Not sure if you have already done the job, but I’m with the others, you might as well check the valves and replace both gaskets. Remove the air box, just make sure to take lots of pictures, and if I had it to do over I would grab a paint pen and mark each part of the air intake. It’s a puzzle to put back together other wise. -
@RDawsonthanks for offer but I just found one at dealer locally that had one in-stock! Just waiting for other parts!
-
@N3FOL Picked up a gasket today for$12can today from dealer that had one in-stock. Thanks for your offer anyways! Now just have to wait for parts to show up!
-
Good evening to all. My busy work schedule and thinking about 'cutting the grass' is worrying me for no reason. I am sure my grass will wait for me until Friday afternoon.

@N3FOL Yes it is! It is our HST(Federal tax) and PST(Provincial tax)which we pay on all purchases except food which is PST only! So when I bought my parts it cost me $48can in tax.
-
That 13% tax is a little on the high don't you think? You are probably used to it by now. I was not aware Canada has that much on sales tax.
-
@RDawsonThanks for the information and offer, have a couple more dealers to try yet! Probably just use some gasket material I have leftover from gasket I made for clutch cover last fall to save time!
-
Partzilla shows to have the gasket in stock. I think I have one if you don’t find it.
