This looks interesting. Would have to change the connector but ....

Has 34 Leds in it

Hey Buddy,

This is a REALLY Cool head light for the Second Gens! You being the electronic wiz, (Unlike Me!) would it be possible to A) connect the white LED's to a "blinker relay" and have the head light appear to Modulate as you were driving down the highway, B) connect the Yellow LED's to the present turn signal system on the RSV and have an extra set of turn signals right in the head light?

If I had a Second Gen., I would be ALL OVER THIS!

I've SEEN your bike Buddy, you're my hero in the LED Dept.

Just wondering, :confused24:

I think it depends on the light pattern of the headlight. If it mounts "top up" and the yellow Leds are on the sides then you could tie them to your turn signals. Modulating the whites would be something totally different. That would depend on how they are wired, if the can be dimmed. You would not want them cutting off and on because then it may appear to strobe. I may order one this summer and check it out.

I tried modifying a VStar bucket to fit into the RSV bucket system and gave up..

There IS a mod on this forum 'somewhere' that I stumbled across that involved prying back the flanges holding down the light inside the RSV bucket to get the new one in there but since I didn't have a spare to play with (not willing to risk my only light and then not being able to ride if I killed it..)..

It is possible but it requires a lot of teeth pulling through the elephant's assets to make it work..

But dang.. nice lights.. Hmmmm

Based on those pics of the back side, each side of LEDs are wired separate so they can indeed be used as turn signals.

BUT, Since we always ride a MC with the headlight on, will you even see the LEDs through the glare of the main bulb?

I think that these may be more for cages where you will be able to see the LEDs when the headlight is off.
