We had another motorcycle/car crash yesterday morning. A 37 year old man was killed when a 17 year old girl pulled out in front of him on a 4-lane highway. It was a bit foggy, but evidently the girl did not look good enough to pull out. I rode in to work yesterday morning at about that same time and was irritated by the number of cars without any headlights on, but I am pretty sure he had his on. RandyA

I have been hearing a rattle and maybe a slight exhaust leak out of the ole girl. And for those of you who knows my ole girl, SHE DOESN'T RATTLE. For some reason my rear exhaust clamps will loosen up every now and then. Am I missing something or is there a bigger problem coming down the road? After tightening them up, everything goes away......

Just wanted to share with my Venture family that we just had a new addition to our family here. Our 9th Grandchild... an 8 lb 2 oz baby girl (3d Granddaughter). Just proud Grandparents.... Jerry n Kelly

This might be fun. My eldest boy = ThunderNutZ My eldest girl = MonkeyNutZ My youngest girl = NumbNutZ The top two kids, those are their XBOX Gamer tags. In fact, they answer to them better than their real names. When I pick them up from day care, I say "Jaffa, Cree!" and they come runnin'. I don't have to say anything else, lol.

Our friend in Madison, Alabama sent me this email relating which I wanted to share with you: "I have a true story to share with you. Last Saturday, a couple friends of mine and I went to a Patriot Guard mission in TN. There was about 30+ bikers coming to show respect to this fallen hero and his family. We were staging at a local Walmart, when this lady and her very young daughter came up to us. The lady asked if it would be ok for her daughter to sing us a song. Several folks spoke up and said sure. The little girl looking at all of us bad looking bikers began to sing "God Bless America"! I can not tell you how that little girl touched our lives knowing she had her values right where her parents wanted them. It made me feel proud knowing someone that young cared." So, after a bumpy start Wednesday(battery wouldn't fire the bike up at 36 degrees!!) I was off and running. Ran into construction on 85 South. I actually stopped in traffic and put down the kickstand several times. Got into Atlanta and met 86er and Blackjack for supper. Had a bit of pig and sauce. Then followed 86er home for the nite. Had some bourbon and called it a day. It don't get a whole lot better than that. However, when he tells you home is just across town, it is the route that is fun. Across the dam and through a bunch of mild twisties and hills. Finally got to run the old girl on something besides a highway. Wish it wasn't dark, it would have been pretty. Just don't follow 86er on every turn - some of them might be sidewalks!! (Turn lane disappeared - he didn't actually go off the road, just kinda pointed it that direction. Five years ago today my wife and I lost our daugher at 39 years of age. Kelley died of an extended illness. We are coping as best we can, but the heartache does not let up.. Well meaning people have told us that time heals all wounds, After five years I am still waiting for the healing to begin... Kelley was a Daddy's girl, and not having her in my life is a real heartbreak. She was a loving mother and a strong Christian girl. I know she is in a better place, but we miss her so desperately.
