  1. Starting with 40,770 on my 2006 RSV
  2. I got a blank e-mail recently, didn't think anything about it, but, I should be up for renewal.....Bill
  3. I have the left rear turn signal out and can't figure it out myself........have the bike on a lift and it's worth a "Benjamin" to me for somebody close to come to my place and solve the issue.....Cheaper than Yamaha dealer and quicker.....Louisville, KY area....send me a PM if interested.....
  4. Trucklite 4.5" fit right in the shells. Bert2006 has a write-up on them that I used......
  5. I have these and with Bert2006 instructions, was a breeze to install in OEM buckets. You may be able to find used ones on eBay or other sites!
  6. We would never take advantage of ANYONE and use lame jokes!!!....Right guys??.....:whistling:
  7. I have a 3200 lumen and DO get blinked at by "Cagers" when I'm on hi-beam, 'course, I have the headlite and passing lites (Also LED'S) pointed higher than stock!!!:whistling:
  8. I had the same problem recently and it turned out to be the cord. I was using a coil cord and the pressure on the connection on the rear of the GPS was causing an intermittent power loss. Replaced with a "straight" cord; no problem since!!!! Good luck!!!!
  9. The producer says there MIGHT be someone left alive at the final episode!!!
  10. My '06 RSV has the left rear turn signal, (As you sit on the bike) out. I've tried all the fixes that the Clymer Manual suggests with no help. The socket, bulb & wiring up to under the seat are good (I switched the right rear to the left rear under the seat and it worked fine!) I've added a Kuryakyn Triple Whammy, air horn, LED running lights & LED side reflector lights. After disconnecting all of them, except the Kuryakyn, the problem still persists. There seem to be three flasher controllers on the bike; one in the right lower panel (which clicks!), two inside the front fairing. The manual only talks about the one on the right, inside the fairing (With the brown/brown-white wires.) If I order any controller, there is no return on electronic equipment. I'm in a quandary and would appreciate any help from you guys (and girls!!) P.S. The problem has persisted for over a year with intermittent outages; often when it's cold, up to total failure in the last month! :confused24:
  11. Also bought the CREE headlight from the Canadian Co. I 've done a lot of riding at night and the one I bought has a definite difference between low & high. I do not, however, recommend the Company for reasons I won't get into here. DO read the warranty/return policy carefully............I also used the trucklite passing lites and found they installed easily. Do use one of the many padded clamps on the market to hold the lights in the shell as you tighten the screw, making sure the rim is inside the clamp(Don't ask!!!). You have to angle the passing lights higher which is done before you install the lamp! GOOD LUCK!!!:bighug::backinmyday:
  12. I need reminders to remind me of the reminders!!!!
  13. ....For another opinion, I don't use a back rest. I ride solo, I'm 5'7" and find the OEM seat to be antiquate as it flairs up at the back.......Just my opinion!!!! :backinmyday:
  14. Be careful ordering from this Company...read the warranty/return policy carefully...just saying..........
  15. I bought these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/250731286326?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  16. I paid $8,700 for my RSV '06, Blk Cherry two years ago, and have added many mods for an additional 2K or so. I'll stick with it unless I win the lottery (I hear ya' hafta' buy tickets to win!!!):cool10::cool10:
  17. If your rear pads have 7,000 miles or more on them, rotate the pads, as they're known for uneven wear.......Good luck!!!!
  18. If it blows again, check the inline fuse for the passing lights in the headlight narrsel (shell)
  19. Ya' gotta' be careful asking serious questions around this crew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't expect a serious answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :whistling: some of the many expressions I go through when I read these posts!! LOL Seriously, thanks for the many laughs guys!!!!
  20. How about the kickstand switch that activates a kill switch if shifting into gear with the stand down???
  21. Thanks Neil! That's my next chore as I'm not good with multimeters, but, I do have a test light!!!
  22. Thanks Don, I did reverse the rear bulbs and then replaced the left one with no change. Thanks for the suggest!!!!!!
  23. Thanks Don....Yes, I checked for corrosion & traces of water damage and found none. I also keep the bike upright in a wheel chock device at home.
  24. Need help folks! Left rear turn signal is not working. Seems to be a progressive problem as it use to happen when the bike or weather was cold; worked as it warmed up. I had a Kuryakyn run-turn-brake module installed and recently installed side marker run-turn LED's. I have checked all wiring and bulbs. I tried the 4-way emergency flashers and the left rear is out; front and right rear work as normal!! Can the flasher module be at fault? Am I missing something else? It's a '06 RSV with 39,000 miles. Any help would be appreciated!!!! P.S. I also installed a rear LED light bar (Run-brake only) under the top trunk; wired to wire bundle behind license plate. I'll ck to see if the left right turn connection came unplugged!
  25. Ditto on one side at a time and blowing out the cavity. Make sure the brace bolts go back in straight. You didn't mention tank removal, but I found out pulling it back and supporting it on a piece of 2X4 was sufficient. I had no problem with plug removal using a long extension.
