  1. You gonna charge him with plague rhythm?...
  2. I refused to get on the bus until I heard that they had free hot dogs and ice cream on the other side.
  3. The statements you have made have an arrogant tone that most members here have a distaste for. (in my biased opinion based on a personal dislike). My perception of your comments lead me to believe that since you are happy with your trike experiences, everyone else of any intelligence would have to agree with it. Being a "relatively new member" here, you probably don't yet know that the "establishment" (Freebird) is not easily "tweaked". Why not try some of the other forums and see what kind of response you get when you give your opinion and then expect no one else to give theirs unless they agree with yours? (My apologies, Freebird.. delete if you must)
  4. Another along those lines: Never argue with an idiot. Everyone listening will have a hard time determining who is the idiot!

    Biker hit

Anybody notice that the motorcycle with the camera was also across the double yellow line at the time of the accident? He was also passing a car. Maybe the motorcycle that got hit looked into his rear view mirrors and saw the "camera man" closing in fast and was distracted and unable to take evasive action. Perhaps the fact that the victim did not have a license had some bearing on the accident. The only totally innocent victim here is the girl passenger. I don't pass on a yellow line right of center line. I never pass a cager that is doing the speed limit on a two lane road. I always expect the cager to try to kill me! I'm 70 years old. Go figure!
  15. "and also I don't want to cause discomfort for some purist members because I went from yamaha to harley" Thank you for being concerned about our discomfort because you ride a Harley! Usually I just take a strong laxative....
  16. Me too! :usa:
  17. My Timex sez it is AUGUST!
  18. I think you might have answered your own question.
  19. That's what I was hoping. Guess I was guilty a time or two in my youth also!!
  20. Are you bragging or apologizing?
  21. Lazy asses who cannot muster enough energy to place their shopping cart in a rack in the parking lot. They just leave them where they unload them, waiting for the next wind to slam them into someone's nice car!
  22. Could you post a picture? I am confused! Dang it Puc! Your fingers are faster than mine!
  23. Glad you were alert and saved yourself and the bike. I am 70, so there have been a couple of times in my life that I was the one in the wrong. I always accepted responsibility, apologized, and made it right, just as this lady seemed to do. I will bet she is more alert for a few days. When you are riding a bike, especially a factory original cream colored Harley, it might help to do as a friend of mine who rides with me sometimes on his classic black 1975 meticulously restored Goldwing. He wears a very bright safety orange t-shirt. It definitely clashes with his beautiful Goldwing, but it keeps the cagers at bay, at least so far.
  24. I put a jack with a 2x4 under the swing arm just in front of the rear wheel and lift just enough to get the center stand down and then lower the jack. (Be sure the bike is stable, preferably with a helper). This allows the front wheel to remain firmly in the clamp. I will edit in a picture when I get to the shop. Forget the above suggestion!! I was writing from memory, and apparently I have no memory. There is no room in front of the rear wheel for a jack. You will have to place the jack under the collector, which might be risky.
  25. Encouraging story! We can all hope and pray that the world will turn around and your day of helping people and being helped will again be the norm and not the exception. I sense that the majority if not all the members of this forum are the type you want to meet on the road when you are in need. Now, if the shop that changed your tire didn't change the valve stem, maybe an unkind word or two is in order. If the valve stem is new, then maybe a finger wave to the Chinese is in order!
