Why am I burning up rectifier requlators?

This is the one i'd prefer over any Shunt-Type R/R. The Kit Price is ok. -

This is a Shunt Type R/R. those get hot during Duty and with a HO Stator, they NEED cooling to Operate within Specs. I's take a deep Look into Heat Dissapating to the Surroundings for that R/R, and if you need to buy a new one, look for a Shindengen FH012 R/R, or the newer FH020. These are a different Style (Power-MosFET) and need only cooling when you operate with 40 Amps or more. When you look into these, watch out, there are R/R'S which look similiar, you'll want one with a grey and a black Connector, not one with two black Connectors. -

What means a HO R/R ? Is that a Shindengen FA 012 HH or what else ? -
Mike, despite of the Fact that the Blonde was lying there to begin with, it's good News. I'm happy with the Outcome, but next time, i wish another blonde lying somewere awaiting you .... :whistling:

Rooster, wow, i'm impressed, thank you for your Service and making the World a bit safer, both with the Pershings and also when destroying them on both Sides of the Iron Curtain ! A Buddie of mine served in the Bundeswehr as (1st Line) Guard for the Pershing Facilty in Landsberg/Lech. I myself haven't had the Chance of serving due to my bad left Eye, i wish i would have been given the Opportunity, it would have helped getting a better Man. I remember well the Prostest Storm in my Youth about stationing the Pershings over here, i never understood their Point of View. It sure was nice to travel all over Europe i wish i had enough Time to do so, but running my own small Company takes a Lot of Investment, not just some Money, but also a LOT of Power and Time. Well Jonas, even though i needed a big Break and took myself off the (whole) Grid, make no Mistake and confuse Inactivness with Immobility ! I said it before and say it again, i'am here for quite a long Time and i fully plan to stay a least that long if not a Lot longer, even if i'm not active here, i'm a VentureRider at Heart, always will be.

Stage3 Carb Mod indicated a carburated Bike, so, i sounds like a 1Gen to me

Holy M..., i'd never thought we have so much german spoken Members onboard !!! I love to hear Stories about my home Country, and i could intepret and understand what's been said. Great Moment for me. Mention would be "Menschen" spelled right, whatever, it's great to hear People from about having a Time over here. Also thanks for the Translation. About the Autobahn, yes, it's a Lot of Fun when you're allowed to travel with the Limit of the Bike, but we have also got a Lot of Speed Limits exposed over the last Years. We have a Lot of green People with their Party elected in the last Years and their Philosophy (not to say Dictatorship or fatuous Ideas) show. When i'm travelling, i find my comfortable Speed normally at 5750 RpM in fifth, which is just shy of 110 mph. I can empty Tank after Tank at that Speed.:crackup:I can empty a Tank at 160 also, but that gets pretty tiring after the second Tank. I love the '09 VMAX, it's a great Bike and besides the current Liter Bikes, there's not much going like it. Besides, this is a 320 Kilogram Behemoth, not a 200 kg like-a-Bicycle Ride.

Mike, I'm sorry to see your beautiful Blonde lying there like this, almost made me shed some Tears.:crying: I hope damage is not as bad a it looks, i fear the Fairing Carrier may have taken a hit and is bent ... I wish, you can get it back in the State it was before, a lovely Ride and well taken care of.

Well, with Akrapovic Mufflers, it sounds fast, smells for burned Fuel fast(actually a LOT of burned Fuel), feels quite quick when you turn the Wrist fast .... :whistling: Hoenstly, it is handling much better than my 1Gen VR, IS FAST, especially after you fitted some Aftermarket go-faster Goodies, like a reflashed ECU, Better Air Filter, modfied Air Box, a Power Commander to tune the Details (+a Map Switch for the fuel conserving :rotf::rotf:Mapping of the EFI during the long haul Runs), rear Sets with Quick Shifter to switch Gear under 100 Percent Throttle, Lock-Up Clutch and whatnot else minor Adjustments ...

Sure Gary, crazy busy and overworked, each Day should be at least 36 Hours to have 6 to 7 Hours of Sleep per Night, but other than this, yes, i'm Ok. Just finished electronic troubleshooting on my Buddies VMAX, Wiring Harness PowerCommander, TPS, APS, and whatnot else, all in all around 40 Hours with fittin' the new Otec Lock-Up Clutch on his '09. First Ride of the Year was last Week, 20 mls, now it's too cold for me again. Besides 12 Hours a Day Job, a large Honey-Do List, fighting with my sh..ty Myriwell 3D Printer, studying PTC Creo to create the Parts my Printer won't print very well .. you know, the normal Stuff a Man is kept busy with all Day and most of the Night ... -

From probably 80 to 100 Starter Clutches i've modded in the past Years, i've seen three Starter Clutches definitely not disengaging and around another five who have been very suspicious looking that way. Two Starter Motors had to be replaced, iirc. Some Idler Gears almost looked like had made their Way inside the Tranny. So, what i'm saying, there's no need to look for any other Cause than the Starter Clutch. If the Bushing inside the 76th Wheel wouldn't have been lubed, it would have left a very Blue End on the Crank Shaft, as well as a blue to black Hub on the 76th Wheel. I saw that, the Wheel is still lying in my Horror Cabinet. If you want to do yourself a Favor, give Dano a Shout and have him mount our modded Starter Clutch, Problem solved forever ... -
I'm using korean Shinko Verge 011 on my '09 VMAX. Those are the best Tire out there in the stock VMAX Sizes.

Sounds pretty much like i'll have News in this Regard (about the Stable, NOT a Rune(shouldn't it be Ruin:D)) much sooner than you.

Ok, i'll say nothing .... for now ... :bluesbrother: but ...

What Greg said !! I hope you make it home soon :fingers-crossed-emo:fingers-crossed-emo:fingers-crossed-emo

Fast ? On a Vic ? Really ? You started smoking Doormats again ? :whistling:

I'm at 21.5 mpg (US) Average through my 24000 kms on the '09 VMAX. Best Economy was 33.3 tooling around in a large Group, worst was 10 mpg at the Hockenheim Drag Strip. Rear Tires usually average at 6000 km. Fronts 8000 km. Depends on the Brand used, but always hard on the Throttle. 192 hp on the rear Tire, maybe a bit more since this Years Upgrades.

Yes 6003, they use all the same.

Well Rick, i see you're downgrading at an accelarating Rate, by this next Year, you'll be on a 600 cc (36,5 cui) Jialing. I'm sorry to hear ....
