gas was put in last dec, right after i got bike home from stealer. i put stabil n a full can of seafoam, ran it for 45 min's, it sat rest of winter that way till now. should drain it n put good gas in it again, i know gas doesnt last long these days! runs fine at n idle, when i took it out on a test ride, good in 1st, there in 2nd, hit third n she is starvin for fuel, slow down n start agin, good till 3rd gear, tells me she's act'n like its starvin?

Bought my venture used last dec,from a stealer, been work'n on the bike since i got released from the doc's. finaly got warm enough to sync carb's, really nwas'nt too far out, took it for a ride, did fine in 1st gear, not to bad in 2nd and then she falls flat on her face with nothin, barely runs? believe i have plugged fuel filter or maybe bad fuel pump, do more investigate'n to morrow, gonna check how fuel runs out of petcock also. bike only had 14,317 miles on it when i bought it,stealer did'nt have any gas in it when i got it,first thing i did was treat gas tank and filled it up, ran it for 45 min. sat all winter that way.po must not have rid'n much, 14000 miles ain't much in 61/2 years!po didn't take very good care of it either! Hope i don't have to end up tak'n carbs off,carbs have never been my fortay!! but am mechanicly inclined, with everything i have read in here tells me i think i might be able to handle it!!:rotf::rotf:

When i bought the bike it was miss'n the c-b antenna, any body got one they would like to part with? I would purchase n pay shipp'n. It's for 2nd gen! if not i can probably get one from junk yard.

found mine, both of them,locally on{ cycletrader.com}. you will be able to find all kinds of ummmmmmmmm.

already had my bracket from the totaled bike, used it. would'nt have put the lite bar on without one!

just got done putting my passing lites on and wiring in the relay. been through alot of threads, was just wondering how big a fuse should be used in the line from the battery?

put a vent in my other venture i had,loved it, only had 2 bugs come threw n hit me in the face all summer, i used it alot! new venture does'nt have one , but i allready have one to put in it. wouldn't ride without one. if you don't need it, ya close it.

i might get to my pass'n lites when i git's back from hattiesdburg in a week or so, got crash bar braces on, wolo horn installed,lite bar under top trunk ,stop flash gizzmo installed , work goes slow when only one hand is 100%, other one is com'n along slowly, but it's get'n there. probably back to 40 or 50%. my bikes same color will post pics when i git'z done!

PMELEH. IS where you live any where near Hattiesburg ms, i'm gonna be headed that way in a couple of weeks to see some friends that moved down there from up here a few years ago. I'm com'n from northern il, yep a flat lander. just got done clean'n s--- from the drive way. gonna spend bout a week down there, they is gonna take me over to new orleans, ain't never been there!
